Future Realignment Thread

Fast Foward to April 4, 2037, and LAW will still be saying

STAY TUNED!

Since ESPN has picked up the contract, let the Hunger Games begin. The Haves are going to say ā€œwe want a bigger cut because we make the conference more money or we’re leaving.ā€ The Parasites are going to say ā€œwe’re a member of a conference, we all share equally.ā€ Which side will give in first?

Sorry, Florida State…YOU signed the contract.

There’s no protection fro signing a stupid long contract…the Judges have already laughed at you many times.

Never underestimate the bias of a home town judge.

Locked on Big 12 is one of the worst source for realignment. It should be banned from message boards honestly.

it’s just one B12 fanboy throwing stuff up against the wall and they taking it to the most dramatic scenario…he is one of the worst hacks

Have they?

They haven’t granted a motion to dismiss, and have agreed to let the cases go forward.

Good luck to the ACC on getting a favorable result in Florida!

You know instead of going ā€œround and roundā€

You should be more concerned about what the sec chief is saying about the cfp. What the cfp chief is saying has everything to do with realignment. He/the sec and big10 have been trying all they can with another school to re-shape college football to their own and only interest. They could care less about the other two power conference and all of the other g5.

I don’t listen to them.

The chiefs of the B1G and PAC supposedly had an ā€œallianceā€ā€¦UNTIL the B1G raided them.

Exactly…you just proved the point while what conferences say/do TODAY has no impact on what they will do TOMORROW!

I’ve given you multiple examples of this.

As I said, I don’t trust what the P2 chiefs say.

But at the same time, there are a few things we can say with certainty, one of which is that if the ACC and FSU go to trial, that trial will be in an FSU friendly venue.

Given that…I’m not putting money on FSU sticking around the ACC.

Have you ever been right on the realignment front? Genuinely curious.

Absolutely!

I predicted that the Big 12 would invite UH after OU and UT left, I predicted that the Big 12 would be stable because the P2 didn’t want any of its brands (by contrast, 1927 called the Big 12 the most unstable conference, and said UH should look to join the PAC, presumably because it would be more stable; gosh, was he ever WRONG and I RIGHT on that one), I correctly predicted that PAC teams would join the Big 12 after UCLA and USC left, and I correctly predicted FSU would not stand for having to play SMU…and can you guess what happened just a few weeks after FSU’s schedule was announced calling for a game against SMU and I made that prediction???……sure enough….FSU filed its lawsuit to leave the ACC, citing the addition of SMU as one of the biggest reasons in their filing.

That’s a pretty strong track record of being RIGHT!!!

By contrast, 1927 predicted that the B1G and PAC would merge and then play an East/West title game.

As Madonna would say on Wayne’s World….NOT!!!

So if you want to know why I trust my own realignment judgment over his….well….it’s simply because my track record of success in predicting such matters has proven to be so much better than his!

Never has but he is going to write otherwise. He was wrong on:
utamafia and okie to the sec
Oregon, USC, ucla, Washington to the big10
This is just the last two realignments.
These are facts that should extinguish any credibility that this certain poster has.

I haven’t been correct on everything, but I’ve definitely been right more often than not, and far more often than 1927.

Often I’ve been right on the very issues that I disputed him on.

And that’s why I trust my own realignment judgment over his, and justifiably so!

If anyone lacks credibility on realignment, it’s 1927, after he called the Big 12 the least stable conference…and played up the PAC as a better landing spot.

Glad UH’s leaders didn’t listen to him!

You are a genius…you predicted the BIg 12 would invite UH AFTER ALL of it’s big brands left for the P2 and the only schools left were Hateful 8 nobodies!

GENIUS!

Texas
Texas A&M
Nebraska
Missouri…ALL P2 Brands that said ADIOS to the Big 12

I 100% still believe the most profitable move would have been for Texas Tech + Houston + Kansas + Iowa State/Oklahoma State to join the USC /UCLA-less PAC.

Then you add two more Big 12 castaways after Washington and Oregon left.

I’ve showed you the numbers MULTIPLE TIMES.

The P4 would be more EXCLUSIVE had it happened that way!

SMU would not have been celebrating a playoff appearance, as a P4

How many brands said adios to the PAC….the conference that YOU claimed was better than the Big 12, more stable than the Big 12, and a more desirable landing spot for UH?

Hint: TEN OF TWELVE!!!

Again, that’s why no one listens to you on realignment.

Had the PAC raided the Big 12, the following schools would be G5 today

Baylor
SMU
TCU
West Virginia
Kansas State/ Iowa State/Oklahoma State
UCF
Cincinnati

The club would be MORE EXCLUSIVE…we would have RECRUITING ADVANTAGES

Instead, the way it happened (Big 12 raids the PAC) allowed the flood gates to open…Way more competition for us!

Didn’t happen Bro.

If ifs and buts were cherries and nuts then we’d all have a Merry X-Mass.

I’m sorry, but you can’t bring up what DIDN’T happen as an excuse for being COMPLETELY wrong.

You have to simply own up to your errors in judgment and admit your mistakes, which you’ve never done.

And as I said, it’s because of that demonstrated bad judgment on realignment, especially compared to my own, that shows why I trust my own judgment on such matters over yours, and justifiably so.

I’m not…I’m bringing up the outcome that would have been the best for the University of Houston and downgraded many of our Texas recruiting competition.

Instead we got YOUR WAY and SMU jumped ahead of us…Congratulations!

I predicted that way before it happened when my wish was to slam the door on them…on UCF…On Cincinnati…On Baylor…On West Virginia, etc.
