Future UH QB

I’ll be surprised if he does. Don’t see him improving upon 100+ catches and 15 TDs with a new QB vs B12 schedule.

Dell is definitely NFL ready…

He’s a junior. He’s undersized. I doubt he would even make a practice squad if he declared after this season.

He ain’t gonna get any bigger lol

He needs to put on weight. He’s still young.

5’10 at 160 pounds ain’t gonna cut it

Calvin Austin is smaller than Dell. Dell is a better receiver. Guess we’ll find out soon

He’s played 5 years of college football. Still young? That 6th year going to put him over the top?

I guess it will make him magically gain 25-30 pounds. And grow another two inches.

If Tune opts out of the bowl game, Dell should too unless he knows he’s coming back. Too risky for Dell’s draft stock.

I was somewhat surprised Dell wasn’t included in senior night. It got me thinking and I didn’t realize he had another year if he wanted to come back next year.

Dell says he has a decision to make about returning and didn’t want to discuss with media after the game. I doubt it takes him long to decide.

“the system” is the problem

He’s not gonna grow in the next year……he is what he is….

He hasn’t shown much? Just what exactly do you think a kid could show in a couple of minutes of play? :joy:

I don’t know who our next QB will be. It could be Coley, Edwards, our incoming freshman recruit McMickle, or someone else. We just have to wait and see.

I sure wouldn’t put money on anyone with less than two years of game experience at a level higher than HS.

Illinois, picked almost across the board to be a B1G bottom feeder this year, made significant improvement, in no small part because they got a transfer QB with a lot of P5 experience. Had they gone with an unproven QB instead, the result would likely have been different.

We’d be well-advised to do the same, or at least, to sign a top JUCO QB in time for Spring training.

I don’t think anyone knows what Coley is going to do, but at least he’ll have a year in the system…we’re not going to do anything next year in the Big 12…let’s see if Coley can be the guy…Dana does have some competency with QBs, so if he wants Coley as the starter, let’s see what Coley can do…we need OL and DL help- that’s where the focus should be.

Yea, I think Dana being kicked out of the Air Raid is his own doing and his own downfall.

If we had Leach we would be far more entertained and maybe “win some games”.

We’ll have to see what Coley has in his game & whether or not he has the famous intangibles, but it would behoove the Program to bring in a solid QB to create healthy competition or to be ready to plug & play if Coley gets injured and has to miss games or the entire season.

Coley had a 13:1 TD:INT ratio his Sr season of HS and 11 rushing TDs. Not too shabby. But a QB gets sat by CDH for running too much. The only system CDH can run his this one.
Can’t adjust to his talent.
