Game 1: Houston vs Lehigh. 7PM CBSSN

I hope that is what it is…because he did not look near as aggressive as he normally is…

Ryan, have you seen more of Sahko in practice? I was really disappointed with his play last night and not sure whether it was just an off game, him getting used to the system, or that’s just who he is. He was bullied out of rebounds and looked like a baby giraffe on offense. I found myself wanting to see Lath come off the bench to spell Jojo.

Sahko is dealing with a back injury, he is receiving treatment every time he comes off the floor.

By the end of the game i was starting to get a headache from the lights hiting me from both directions. No way to look at the court from my seats and not have 2 spotlights hit your eyes. Have to bring a hat to watch the game and give up on looking at the scoreboards.

But we keep trying to get him the ball down low. Sampson jokingly said after the Miss State practice game that the penetrator has to understand WHO they are throwing the pass up for.

That would make some sense.

The second half shows there is much work to be done. We have some tough games in a couple of weeks. Right now offensively we aren’t ready .

Hey Jeff, could you look into the interrogation lighting and see if some adjustments are feasible? :slightly_smiling_face:

Did everyone from Houston play last night? For some reason I just thought they were deeper than they are.

I have zero concerns with Houston except for Injury to a core returning player as I dont know that they have enough proven scoring depth if Mercy Miller isn’t going to take a big step or Hartwell doesn’t quickly become a scorer.

They have an insanely great versatile starting 5 but it feels like the Depth is going to be a lot better in the 2nd half of the year.

Feels like Uzan and Sharp are going to average 36 min a game if not

Ced Lath, Jacob McFarland, and Bryce Jackson were the 3 that did not play. Jackson is redshirting, McFarland is injured, and Lath was just a DNP-CD.

At 70 years old and sitting at 799 wins, Kelvin Sampson started two freshmen (and played two more) on Monday night. At times, they were spectacular, but often, Sampson wanted to pull his hair out.

The senior citizen and the kids: it’s gonna be must-watch.

It’s gonna be entertaining to watch Sampson alternate between angry yelling and burying his head in his hands on the sideline.

I enjoyed watching the team for the first time. My only takeaway from the game is this team is young, talented, full of potential, and will get better as the season progresses. No reason to nitpick at this point.

I’m good with running some offense through JoJo in the post. It seems he could do a better job of posting up to start out closer to the basket.

Do we plan to post up Cenac?

We all are excited about the potential of this Team.

Last November we went 4-3.

In April we played for The National Championship.

Looking for similar improvement this Season.

The ceiling could be much higher for this year’s team. The talent level is the highest Sampson’s ever had at UH. It is crazy.

When they look at the box score CKS is gonna let Tugler know those rebounding numbers are not going to cut it….JT should be a double-double guy every night.

Harwell passed up multiple open looks….he is going to have to get more selfish….the kid can shoot.

Felt like a couple times, Harwell could have just shot over Whitlock if he wanted to. That dude wouldn’t be able to contest.
