Game 1: Houston vs Lehigh. 7PM CBSSN

Yup. The grandkids spilled milk on the table a few times… and grandpa was not happy…

Liked what I saw, feeling confident. Just bought some tickets to the Houston Regional. The link does not appear to be transferable, sorry I can’t pass it on.

My analysis of last night’s performance….

  1. We won.

  2. It’s too early to criticize the true freshmen.

  3. CKS will straighten out perceived issues.

Thought process….

Think forward. Think positive.

Think National Championship.

We’re not the #2 team in the country. I don’t keep up enough to know who is #2, but I can’t believe we’re the second best team in the country RIGHT NOW.

But… we’ll get better. The big question is, how much better can we get?

This doesn’t appear to be a great defensive team, but more potential on offense, in spite of losing LJ and J’Wan. Roberts was an automatic bucket in the post last year… JoJo has a ways to go to fill that role.

It’s gonna be a fun ride, but bumpy for a bit.

I showed up at Fergitta Center at 6:20 or so and all the schedule posters were gone and the lineup cards were gone. How can we be so bad at this? It was 6:20!!!

We were right behind you and all were gone… was told people grabbed them in bunches and bunches and more bunches :frowning::pensive:

I got one and a friend grabbed a couple at half time. There were plenty next to the team store.

I sent by the team store and there were women’s (and I got one), but not men’s. I circled the whole building and they were gone by 6:30

bummer, maybe there will be more schedules this Saturday on top of the 800th win posters. There were quite a lot left by the team store at the half - maybe they found more to put out by then.

Lehigh’s 2 small guards were impressive.

Don’t want to sound mean but I expected more form the Harwell kid. Hope he takes off in the next couple weeks.

Harwell was diving for loose balls and active when in there. Maybe it takes him a little longer get going on offense but the effort and abilities looked promising to me.

He looked stiff and gimpy. Probably still recovering from his injuries. Liked his effort on D and that one rainbow 3…… might be mid season before he rounds into shape and gets the system. Talent is there

We had an early arriving crowd…yay! But the towels and posters were cleaned out early as well. I saw a guy with a stack of towels, what is his plan with that many?

The line for photos with the trophy was long, even at 6:10p when I arrived.

Maybe they have finally corrected the ticket broker issues. Even the club seats looked full at tip!

He also took a nasty fall diving or a loose ball in the exhibition. Selfishly I am glad not all the freshman look like 1 and dones lol.

Right now we need a 5th guard and a 4th big to step up for the rotation. Everything between that I feel very good about for this season.

Brayden Burries was higher rated than Harwell and did not do any more in his opener.

Now Darryn Peterson, AJ Dybantsa and Koa Peat are at a whole nother level than our Freshmen

This is all based on last night’s game?

Last night’s games:

Burries and Peat played for Arizona. Dybantsa plays for BYU and Peterson plays for Kansas.

Not to mention Yessoufou at Baylor and Abaev at Cincy who appeared to have great games also.

I’m probably leaving someone out. B12 is LOADED with freshman talent
