I definitely don’t agree with that. Better is debatable, much better, no way.
They are both going to be starting and playing a lot going forward.
Arceneaux will see more and more playing time. He is the real deal.
Agreed. Both players are really good and can make a strong case for being the best player on the team. But saying that neither is close to one another is taking it a step too far.
Okay…I think we’re both confusing the other…haha…fair enough
I don’t see TA starting over Sharp unless Sharp falls off a cliff. And to me, it would take more than one bad loss for that to become permanent.
EDIT: ahhhh…and I just went back and saw this, which I overlooked and was apparently only paying attention to the first part…my bad…I stand corrected.
Sampson rotates the starting line up after every noteable loss if there are starter quality bench… he is super superstitious and wont rotate it otherwise
That last part actually supports MY argument! Haha
This is why YOU ARE DA MAN!
Nothing to do with size of the arena.
from the post game presser
-
The emphasis was on transition points and post points in the game and that was accomplished. milos did a good job of pushing the pace
-
missed a ton of open 3s, but will live with that, we likely score 100+ if we shoot like we normally do, noted we were dominant and didnt even shoot well
-
hates the schedule set up, hates 1 game a week/10 days … thinks its bad for rhythm, says the team would be further along with more games
-
think the defense is really good and likely has 2 more levels up it can get to
-
focus on rebounding in the break, think we will be great at offensive rebounding
-
noted lj had an amazing game despite not shooting well, he impacts winning
-
noted that Terrance has been on minutes restriction as designed by him, he pulls himself out. didnt feel the need to pull himself out this game, that why he played 27, and hasnt been pulling himself out of practice this week, which he was prior to that. terrance noted that he is almost fully back
-
think jojo is a future pro, in marvel at his putback layup tip inn after he missed the easy one. (mentioned not seeing some thing that special despite watching nba greats) . think jojo has elite instincts
-
jojo and mylik are elite athletes
I dont think it’s really debatable.
I really don’t get what you guys see in Cryer, but I respect your opinions I’ll defer to you guys.
Keep in mind, I assure you it’s much more about my respect and appreciation for Sharp’s game and how good I think he is than it is specifically hating on Cryer. Cryer is a good player for sure.
You don’t see what we see in Cryer? Really? Lol
I think his skill set is pretty apparent.
If it is down to a last shot, the only shot I am comfortable with Tugler/Roberts/Francis taking is a dunk. I don’t even trust a screen and roll with our front line.
Cryer has to be the #1 option, with Arceneaux #2 and Sharp #3. Sharp is #3 because his game is a 25-30 ft shot and I need a higher percentage shot.
I’m with you on Cryer but not to that extent. He struggles with any type of size on him. He is a good dependable player but he isn’t a go to scorer imo. Go pull up his stats in our biggest games. Its pretty hit or miss.
i saw your notification for your other post, but i think you deleted it… the bench player you said was better than cryer was curtis jones
I think uzan will eventually be that guy.
By metrics and observation…
Same people that used to tell me $head wouldn’t get in the NBA because he’s only 6’1"…
$harp is a better player than LJ imo…
But LJ is a great player… do you think LJ gets drafted this year.
I’m good with LJ or $harp taking that shot… or TA
Being good with it isn’t the same as feeling comfortable with those guys. I don’t want this to be a bash LJ thing but with the game on the line would you rather have LJ taking the shot or:
Travon Mark
Deeky
Shead
Rob Gray
Galen Robinson
LJ is probably a better scorer than 4 of those 5 but with the game on the line or if you are behind with 2 minutes left….
I like LJ but with game on the line, I just don’t think he is the guy. But there is a lot of basketball left to prove my old azz wrong.
I would be comfortable with both Shead and LJ in that group.
takingn the shot?
rob
then lj
ball in thier hands to make a decision… rob, then shead, then deeky, then lj
I’ll take Q. Grimes off the bench for that shot. ![]()
The opponent’s defense will often help determine who will take the last shot.
