Game 17: #10 Houston @ UCF (W 69-68)

Keep noticing that LJ really struggles on offense when teams get physical with him.

Well UCF gave us their best shot and we still got the W. The one bald ref did what he could to help UCF out.

The one thing I noticed with LJ’s shots yesterday was they all seemed on line, just strong. Rebounds always seemed to kick back out strong Maybe it’s the result of not being familiar with the sight lines.

LJ plays hard with or without the ball. Him and Sharp have come a long ways and Milos is catching on quickly

mills and sasser have had some games where they just went of

we were old enough to not need any freshmen this year
but on a not deep team, mercy would have definitely had some great games
i think the season wide efficency would have been bad, but there would have bee some games where he just went off

flagg would be doing the same thing he is doing at duke
flagg takes smart shots that sampson wouldnt protest about
again look at the greenlight that mills had.
but ive state this before our 5star coming are 2-way defensive 5stars, not 40pts per 5star
i expect all of the 5star to get heavy minutes
but i dont think any will be putting up big points
7-10 range for all
peat if we pulled that off is the only one i think would put up big numbers as i think sampson would spam him as a low post scorer

John Hughes was definitely behind the naming of Kip when he was born.

I rewatched the game this morning. Our guards got their shots but they didn’t go in. It wasn’t that there were hands in their face, they just missed the shots.

It happens.

It will be very rare when three of our guards are cold. Uzan had a pretty good game.

Francis didn’t have a good game, that was a coming out party. His post moves were legit and he looked great at the foul line. Sometimes the light switch flips on. If that is the case we are going to win the Natty.

All about consistency going forward from Roberts and Francis/Tugler. We don’t have to have total domination every game, though it will help tremendously.

But consistent post presence, and I’m confident we’re not going to see too many 18% 3 ball nights will take us a very long way. Natty would certainly be in those cards

Tugler is Chris Harris with more lateral movement and better baseline-to-baseline speed.

Also, Uzan’s inbound pass was amazing. Gave a little pump fake to get the inbound defender going from way then the bounce pass to get J’wan going the right direction. Was amazing

Definitely deserves more credit

Let’s see if things change in the next few weeks. Sampson said a lot of the players we’re dealing with the stomach flu so it’s possible he was sick and had lingering symptoms. We’ll see.

and a lot longer reach and jumps higher. I loved Chris Harris - I watched him play at San Jac
I really loved Corey Davis from that SJ team
