now do mark
But Mark does so much more than Tyson. Tyson is a shooter. That shoots worse than Sharp. By a lot.
PER accounts for more than shoots, its a measure of all stats⊠you are picking and choosing when your metrics countâŠ
this is insane convolution⊠all shooting is equated the same to you (defense and calibur doesnt matter)⊠its bananas
Hi pesik. Can you point to one basket Cam scored for us that had an impact on whether we won or lost?
he score 31 in a game we won by 17
that -14 without his points⊠math is mathing
Okay. So. Based on PER. Sharp and Tyson are the same.
We only beat Our Lady of the Lake by 40 if Tyson doesnât play.
and they are both better than shead and mark⊠glad we can all see the strength of your PER argument
Oh, boy.
Shead has had a terrible year shooting the ball. We can all admit that. And PER largely plays off of offensive stats.
Tyson canât defend. He is a shooter. That is inefficient in big games on his schedule.
I would not pick Tyson over Mark or Shead.
I would pick Sharp over Tyson. Pretty easy.
so wierd that you were saying shead would be an all-american next year⊠you should have been saying that about sharp is the better player
Are you asking if I think Sharp is going to be an All-American?
no you just have wild homer takes, like sshead being an all american next year
exclusively this year, the game on the line you are taking tyson over sharp⊠this isnt a debate for anyone not blinded by their love for all things coogs
no just that sharp has better PER⊠Shouls yo be touting him as the all-american?
For the Houston Cougars.
I am taking Sharp over Tyson. Itâs not really that hard of a debate.
No need to overthink it, P. Sharp is the better player.
Sharp doesnât have an All-American PER even worth discussing.
Shead has had a down season offensively. And his defense has been suspect in a couple of games.
But he still does things better than Sharp. Distributes the ball. Playing defense. All the little things that make a team go. He is also our unquestioned leader.
I still believe in my PG. do you?
So if he didnât play that game, we would have played with 4? Thatâs the only way your math works
Defense is a huge part of the equation⊠if you donât play great defense and rebound you donât play at Houston. Sharp has made great strides on defense and rebounding this year. You have to consider both sides of the ball. Also Sharp is developing into a multi-level scorer. I see him being our version of âCumberlandâ next year.
Heâs also just a better shooter overall.
That is Tysonâs strength. And Sharp is better at it.
Not sure how that is a wild take. But Pesik is going to Pesik.
And Shead cannot shoot 38% from the floor and be an All-American.
If he does that next year, he will not be an All-American. But if he can shoot 45% from the floor while averaging 6 or 7 assists. And being the best defender in the country. He can be an All-American. And he can do everything I just mentioned above.
if thats your counter? that could be said about any coog⊠we lost sasser and mark and went to the elite 8âŠ
all we have is what happened⊠note grimes was injured and couldnt play in that tualne game âŠeveryone else not named tyson went 4-17 from 3, against a zone team
interesting fact, grimes was healthy the next tulane game (so no intend tyson minutes) it was tight all the 1st halfâŠtill sampson put tyson in just to see, which is when we started to separate including his major halftime 3 which was the beginning of the seperation
