Agree 100%, and that’s why I’m not going.
It would have been so easy to make that happen while still giving the promoter opportunities to sell most tickets to the general public.

Sampson on Instagram urging people to come to game so that tells me low ticket sales
I used to be guilted into stuff but not anymore. It is not cheap to have hoops tickets and we get rewarded with Towson as the big out of conference game but are asked to go to Vegas, New Jersey, Fort Bend, downtown, and KC to support the team.
We might as well be playing Towson, FSU has zero basketball following or buzz. Saturday night downtown when holiday parties have started, I don’t know who thought this would draw. I’d be surprised if there is more than 5k fans.
So we should have paid the promoter to play in the game? What about the games in Birmingham and in New Jersey? I have the feeling Sampson helped put this together so we could get a game regular season game in the site of the South Regional. A season ticket is not an entitlement, they need to make money where and when they can.
I think the promoter way overpriced this game and have decided to discount it way too late.
For reference here’s a rabbit hole breakdown of some the Big12 season ticket prices, I included everyone I could easily find.
Season ticket price center court chairback non-club (ticket and donation)
UH $500+500
TCU First 10 rows $825+$1675, higher $300+$325
Tech $515+$495
WVU $500+$650
BYU $1,525 and sold out there entire season ticket allotment before they got to donors under $1,500
KSU $1,863 (24-25)
Arizona $1,600 + unstated Capital Campaign Contribution (25-26)
Baylor $750 + $1750
Kansas $6,000-$12,000 unclear of the breakdown
ISU $535-710 with a $4,500-$18,000 donation
Why wouldn’t there be money made if it were offered as a season ticket option like the NRG football game vs OU? It wasn’t suggested that tickets be thrown in for free.
They make more money with more fans, and offering tickets to season ticket holders would have accomplished more of both. Now they’ve resorted to begging people to buy discounted tickets a few days before the game
And how much are we actually going to make?
It shouldve been an extra $50 added to season tickets, with an option to upgrade
Man, this might set a new record for the weakest excuse CoogFans has trotted out. Holiday parties? On December 6? Come on now.
The people I sit with at home games will be at one and not attending the FSU game.
FSU is losing by 30 at home to Georgia

Clearly, no one was thinking about season ticket holders. We aren’t entitled enough to be considered for any sort of accommodations to the FSU game? During college bowl season? On top of the low-rent OOC home schedule? Ok then, good to know.
*The family went to last year’s game vs. Auburn at Toyota, b4 we purchased season tix this year.
How can KU get UConn to come to Allen Field House when Sampson says no good teams will come to Fertitta?
And yes, Saturday’s crowd will suck.
Quad 3 game as expected.
Florida St last (2) losses by 36pts & 34pts
Should probably beat this team by 20pts at least
we have our company holiday party this Friday.
Sure, NBA arenas are gonna be full on Christmas Day but the Coogs can’t possibly compete with all of the extremely high-priority office holiday parties three weeks out.
We just have a bad fan base it’s been shown over and over, 17K for Auburn game, who is 2 hours away in Birmingham and our coach has to get on social media and beg people to come in our own city?? We should be banished from the Big 12 if this nonsense continues
I know we all want a fan base of 1 million plus. But we
Were you in Dallas in 2024 (Sweet 16) and San Antonio in 2025 (Final 4)? Just curious
Yes but one or two special games doesn’t prove anything? Any fanbase will show out for those games, it’s the rest of the time in football and basketball we have to be consistent in, and yes basketball attendance has been good the last years , but if we start losing at some point well the attendance will be drastically reduced. We have to show out all the time
