TV attendance is where its at. We have plenty of eyeballs on our games.
Random rant:
I canāt stand the thought of sitting in Toyota Center for 2 hours hearing that annoying tomahawk chant. Memories of the Peach Bowl.
My memories of the Peach Bowl are pretty good. ![]()
Probably wonāt be enough fans for you to really hear them.
For those worried about attendance, the posted attendance last year was 6,900. That was for 2 games, Rice vs FSU, and UH vs Auburn. Auburn also had quite a few fans, definitely over 1,000.
One bright spot is there did not look to be a student section last year, but they have at least 750 tickets this year. Hopefully they get more band members in as well.
My Memories of the Peach Bowl are, first of all, spending that time with my dad and then the Coog fans showing up in big numbers and doing their chant back at them to mock FSU.
Iām consistent. I always wonder how consistent those are who are throwing the stones at our fan base (glass houses, and all). We should be banished from the Big 12? Hope that was hyperbole. For sure, this Florida State game is not a āspecial gameā. Especially after me, and several others here have already purchased season tickets this year for UH football AND MBB. Who are also hoping to go to the bowl game and then some of those āspecial gamesā next Spring during March Madness.
The bashing of the fans who participate in this forum is very tiring to read. It would be interesting to see the official fandom bio of each member in these pages. While ranking their levels of fandom, and comparing that to the level of complaining about our fans that is done in relation to putting their money where their mouth is.
*I see tickets are now as low as $42 for the FSU game. Might get a wild hair and go like I did to Auburn game last year.
Our tomahawk chop was much much louder than FSUās in Atlanta
The bashing from posters who donāt even live here. and dont attend even 50% of the games is tiresome too. We have some posters, who 50%+ of their posts are crying about attendance, its pathetic.
Hopefully they are spending 5% of that energy posting on social media and calling friends and classmates to get them out to games.
Iād understand some rival fans trolling or droning on and on about attendance, but our own fans trolling the fans that actually go to games is a bit much.
Hill, Thatās what Iām trying to gauge, Iāve only been here 3+ years, and I was mostly lurking for a while; more active on the forum this year. I see more and more of the fan bashing is our fans who live āawayā and make very few of our games in a yearās time.
Lots are good fans, support the programs in ways they can, which we need more of. But the constant whining is beyond tiresome.
I hear u brother i have season tickets to football and basketball, live out of town, but make most of them
I have a friend from New Braunfels who does the same, all football, most basketball.
I love Bandera by the way, grew up going there with my parents, then started taking my kids there.
I actually live in New Braunfels now lol
We live in Kerrville; are 80+; but still attend a couple of games annually.
Bringing 9 in my group to this game. Normally 3 attend. Hoping more people are are doing the same.
Apples to orangesā¦
Auburn was playing the #2 team in the nationā¦
Weāre playing sorry ass FSUā¦
They made a big error in the original pricing. Bought great tickets early at a very high price compared to what is being offered now. Sometimes being early to support has a high cost.
Yes glad they lowered the price. People need to understand our fan base
We were playing a top 10 Auburn team last year and struggled to get people out to TC.
And Alabama vs Houston. We have more Christmas parties
