Interesting thinking in the past few years about not attending a UH game because of who the opponent is. For me, I canā€™t ever remember going to a UH game since 1967 because of who we were playing .

I hear ya. If I still lived in Houston I would be at every game regardless of the opponent. I donā€™t fully understand the thinking of our fans but thatā€™s just the way it is.

Our fanbase is really hard to understand. They complain about concessions at FC, which is justifiable, but at TC you have good concessions, and tickets are cheaper to buy for this game than what we pay at FC for our normal games. People should go to games because they love their Coogs. Not going to a game because of who we are playing is just silly to me.

Yeah, my decision has nothing to do with the opponent. If it was a ticket Iā€™d already bought as part of the season tickets, then Iā€™d probably make the 6 hour round-trip road trip to the game.

But I donā€™t like the way they handled it, the ticket prices were initially stupid-high, and the gametime was just recently set. Iā€™m not complaining about it - just voting with my wallet.

If the AD wants fan support, maybe think about not crapping on the support base.

Watch out for some of the excuses below from our fans not attending the game vs FSU.

  1. Itā€™s too cold tomorrow even though it is indoors.

  2. I hate Toyota Center yet complain about the lack of amenities and options at Fertitta or TDECU.

  3. Our opponent sucks.

  4. There is too much around that area yet complain there is no entertainment or decent restaurants around UH.

  5. Parking and traffic like it only exists around UH.

None of these things are mutually exclusive.

It does suck that we see tons of other teams getting marquee matchups at ā€œhome,ā€ while UH gets FSU. So many other top teams are getting great matchups, and we settle for this.

At the same time, you go and show up to support the team regardless of who is on the other bench. I see both sides, but mostly the side of showing up regardless. Yea itā€™s not ideal, and it could be better but it is what it is.

Agreed, the players want us there; theyā€™ve asked us to show up. That mattered to me when it came down to it. As a fan, I truly hope we make an appearance thatā€™s not embarrassing to us all. Maybe weā€™ll get better matchups in the years to come in the OOC scheduling for season ticket holders.

I looked early at tickets for my Family. For have decent seats they were 150-250

I decided to rich for my retired self and made other plans. Now the tickets arenā€™t bad. But to late for us
