We aren’t good enough offensively to win the Natty we will go cold one game from 3 pt range and that will be it
Not sure why that would bother anyone. Seems pretty logical being we had a huge lead and the Texans were playing a huge game.
This program is built to win in exactly that scenario. Truth is, nobody knows what the future holds.
What team is? It’s all about getting hot at the right time!
If the orange lot wasn’t always a sh@t show, maybe ppl would stay the whole game. I’m old now and sick of the traffic in this city- and when UH isn’t prepared for success, well that is their problem. I was there until the last 2 mins walked in my house and Texans kicked off. Parking and traffic flow has been a 30 year problem when we are winning.
Houston isn’t even that. Texans attendance is awful, Demeco and CJ Stroud were begging people to come to games like 3 weeks ago, same with the rockets. Astros draw well now.
Texans had been awful but it is usually the year after where attendance spikes. The crowd vs the browns was spectacular and ticket sales will spike for next season. Rockets have been decent and are a good playoff run from really filling the place.
The Astros just had their 2nd best attendance ever.
There should be no complaints about thebCoogs basketball attendance.
Agree. Too many ifs:
- If Roberts is healthy.
- If the front line stays out of foul trouble.
- If both Cryer and Sharp don’t have a cold shooting night on the same night.
- If our bench contributes offensively.
- If the game is not decided by last second free throws.
- And on and on…
The good news is that you can say the same thing about every other team in the tournament.
That is why they play the game.
Coogs vs Tech in the 1993 Conference Tournament game, Tech shot an absurd number of free throws. I feel like it was something like 52, but can’t find the stats…
“… they hate us because they anus.”
Wait, what?
I dunno. The free throw disparity is concerning but i chalk it up to the league not being used to a defense like ours. I’m curious if Cincy (who was also known for playing tough defense) is going through the same?
J-Avi’AIR!!!
ShEEEEEd…
The last two games I think that traffic has actually improved now that the admin actually is listening to the alums. Before this it was chaotic at best. The biggest problem yesterday was the work that was being done on 45 South. Made it really hard to get to the game from 10 West.
My post was in regard to the depth of loyalty of some of our fans.
Houston always has been a pro sports city, sports for the masses.
I just wish that our fans were committed to the Coogs first and anything else a far second.
I’m a college sports guy only, don’t care a bit for anything else.
I’m not surprised. Only fans who closely follow UH knew how important the UCF game was. No matter how much the league is trying to develop a rivalry between UCF and UH, e.g., Space City, AAC conference mates, the rivalry is just not there. Why not just admit that the best B12 rivalries for UH will be with the Texas teams. That could be expanded long-term, but right now it is the old SWC rivalries. I think Kansas has great potential to be a basketball rival, since both teams are so competitive. One disputed game winning shot could open the floodgates.
Well, in the spirit of getting things started… fudge Arizona. I see you talking trash!
National championships are not given by how good the team is. It is earned. Like NC State did. Lot of winning the whole thing is if the team is destined. Many good to great teams have failed. Let’s no define arbitrary ceilings yet. Let it all play out. The great news is that we have a coach who knows more about this then everyone combined from the fan base.
This is something I’m aware of and I have said repeatedly I’d love nothing more than to be proven wrong.
