On the radio coach was quoted as saying, “We’re not a great team…yet.” Love that. This team is already salty but can’t wait to see how they continue to develop.

When CDH walked in and sat down he looked blown away. I saw him say wow more than a couple of times.

So how did the crowd look on TV?

I love what Brady does in some areas, but he really needs to step up his game on the offensive end. Too slow to make his initial move to the basket down low and then doesn’t seem to have the hand strength necessary to fight through the double teams after that hesitation.

Hopefully it’s just been a couple of games’ slump he is working through. When he plays strong, it gives us another complete dimension to our offense.

Looking at the box score Ced and Brady had 8 minutes each. And I know Brady didn’t have his 2nd foul until about 6 minutes left in the first half so it wasn’t a foul trouble issue. We always go to Brady at the beginning of games to try to collapse the defense to open up the 3s later but it rarely works and lately never has. Brady has good post moves he just can’t get that baby hook to go down.

As a senior and still effective post player Brady will probably start the rest of the year but he may not always get starter’s minutes.

Armoni had 10 boards tonight and was our leading rebounder. His all-around game has improved greatly this year.

Gresham is a great offensive rebounder so when we have a start like tonight he should be off the bench quickly for Brady. A couple of offensive rebounds will get your team out of a shooting slump real quick.

CKS said on the radio that he won’t change the lineup as they haven’t lost yet. Why change something if it’s not broken.

I think starting Brady is fine. As CKS said, he likes the energy and different looks that can come off the bench right now. No point in messing that up.

He also mentioned that the offense looked fine at the beginning, he was happy with the looks even though they started 0-10. Shots just didn’t fall.

While we are sleeping man what is that game in Hawaii? Nice start time. I don’t know if I could handle us in the PAC haha.

IMO Nate deserved player of the game more than corey. He was everywhere.

Nate Hinton had a great line tonight, and I still think that didn’t tell the full story of how excellent he was off the bench. Deeky was a real critical change of pace too. Obviously, Corey was excellent but I think everybody here knows that.

I guess you can have a different starting lineup than this one but it won’t win more games than this one has!

CKS said that he ain’t changing the starting line up while they are undefeated !!

Not me. Not his best game tonight but he seems to move better and his touch in the lane is better than what I remember from last year. Of course, the sample size for last year was pretty small because he seemed to have 2 fouls before the game ever started and could only play in 4-minute spurts otherwise…

I cannot remember a recent time when UH had this many effective weapons to rotate in and out of the game. Sampson can go probably 10 deep without me starting to moan and think “oh man, we are going to struggle to score now”. And, for the most part, they all hustle and play tough defense. Tonight was fun to watch and gave a small glimpse of this team’s potential.

Definitely. CKS mentioned on the radio that he could probably have no problem starting a different 5.

A guard that rebounds in basketball is akin to a shortstop that hits home runs in baseball. Not that common and we have two that can do it.

They can all do it if you see how they are doing it. Our big men box out while the guards crash the boards.
