I always hear we’re supposed to unconditionally support the team. I rarely miss watching a game, but right now there is nothing enjoyable about this. The return on emotional investment at this point is negative.
Someone give me a reason to watch any more games this season over working OT, playing with dogs, going to the gym, or even home improvements, all of which I’m enjoying more than watching football these days.
They’re gonna get better under Fritz. Some thought we turned the corner at TCU. Turns out that wasn’t the case. But one of these weeks we’re gonna win, and then do it again the following week.
In the past i watched because there were young guys who might be the core of a future, better team. But with the portal situation being what it is, anyone with talent is a threat to leave and further break my heart. So getting attached to those guys is actually to my detriment.
Are you an alumnus? You watch because it’s your school. Win or lose. I don’t have ESPN+ and I knew they were down 14, but when I went to work out in the yard, I listened to the game on my earbuds. Am I disappointed they lost? Sure, but they’re still my cougars, win or lose.
It’s up to you if you want to watch the games. It’s definitely a tough watch right now but ever since the UNLV game I looked at this year as a throwaway year. I do think the situation looks much worse then it really is due to the offense so im not trying to be a prisoner of the moment.
Being a fan is why I keep watching. Not much else to say. If I got time to watch the game, I will. To act like the team owes us wins for watching is a silly notion.
Unlike some, I still have hope for Fritz too. But I dont expect anything to be fixed this year.
We may win some games this season which I don’t want to miss, but I don’t think winning back to back games is going to happen this year.
Lol i mean it is your choice to watch or not. You’re free to join the other fairweather fans. But if winning is the main criteria to watch your team play, then most fans will be disappointed throughout a season.
Unless you are a direct contributor, I don’t see why you personalize it that much. Now if it were a question about donating to the program, that is a much more meaningful question.
The defense was a reason to watch, but we just gave up 42. The only comparable KU game was 48-3 vs Lindenwood. I had never heard of them. Had to look it up. They became an FCS team last season. That’s who we’re similar to right now
Because it’s my team, win or lose. I will never stop supporting them. I will continue hold season tickets as long as I am physically able to go to the games.
