Give one name and one sentence of support for new AD

Why do you hate darts? All of my major life decisions were done with darts. And look at me today.

Whoever they hire as AD better put pressure on all of our coaches in all sports including Sampson.

Yea cause Sampson’s production sucks.

I can tell you personally not hiring for diversity in some areas is why we are where we are now

Some folks who know more and work with less have never been asked to join the program cause folks took care of their friends or assumed someone from another P4 knew more which wasn’t the case

What does this even mean? What does it mean to ‘hire for diversity’ ?

I want ivanka trump. She could get it going, plus we’d have Jared operating in the shadows.

Find someone that works in the roc nation portfolio like the league commissioner or someone that works within Lebron agents organization.

Has to be someone outside the box and the good ole boy network.

Because NIL and free agency are new, the AD talent already developed which can meet these challenges resides in a very small and shallow candidate pool. Even just five years from now, lots of AD candidates will have proven records of success in this new era, but not today.

I have no idea who to hire. :man_shrugging:

Is that pre-surgery or post-surgery?

Seriously, would someone with a non-profit background (not necessarily college fundraising) or someone selling a product or service commercially be best suited to get us those NIL and sponsorship dollars? Institutional fundraisers know the ropes to get to foundation money, but we need to sell to the business side of business, not the philanthropic departments of companies.

Idk… what I do know is that everyone I know that works for non-profits sure have cushy lives…

So, you are in the post-surgery camp.

Let’s play this game… show me a picture of her where she isn’t beautiful.

Uh oh …what did I start?

I seriously do think she would crush the job.

Fundraising for non-profits is brutal, but that is because they are oftentimes competing with dollars already set aside for philanthropy. Large corporations are strategic in giving grants and donations.

We need someone going in the front door who can bond with the corporations’ marketers. Then convince them we will use their money to build their brands through positive associations with UH by giving to NIL. If we can’t do this, we will not be successful.

Between her and Renu we’d definitely have the best “Cougars” for the job…:rofl::rofl:

She’s never been ugly, just not glamourous. Surgery and unlimited money provide the glamour. I was just responding to your fanboying. I don’t really think of her, well, like ever.

I mean if you look at my high school pics and my 42 year old pics I look a lot different, too…:rofl::rofl:

OK, so do we look to the commercial side or the institutional side for our new AD? Kyle, do you think fundraising for NIL should be the ability most valued, or do you want some combination of facilities guy and salesman? Or do you think a traditional AD could outsource/delegate NIL efforts?

Man… tough job that I know nothing about…

NIL is a must but the AD doesn’t need to be good at that… they just need to be able to give the NIL reigns to someone that is and have those networks to talented fundraising executives…

Obviously, the most talented college athletes also want to play/train/eat at the best facilities…
