Go Astros!

You starting to sound like you’re on the Satellite thread. Pls don’t go there.:laughing::unamused::grimacing:

Edit: 7 = No Go.

Nolan Ryan at 30, 35, 40 is not coming through that bullpen gate.

Edit: oh even NR at 45 is not available. Pretty sure he was 47 when he retired w/o looking up.

Zack giving us a deep start is our only hope. We cant have a bullpen game. He has to go deep. I think he can, I think he will. But you never know what Dusty is going to do.

Javier has been very good last 2 mos of season n even the Chicago series. Piece the 2 together for 6-7 inn n I’m 100% with ya. Let’s Go Stros!

I heard some guy on sports radio today predicting that Greinke would only go about 3 and 1/3 innings.

We’ll see!

That’s abt right. He can shut them out for 4 inn and will prob be done after 60-70 pitches. That’s just reality w where his arm strength is at the moment to be effective.

Based on the first three games of the series, if ZG can pitch four shutout innings out of the gate, I’d be thrilled…games 2 and 3 were basically over before we scored a run.

If the 'Stros can find a way to get the series back to Minute Maid, I like their chances…that place will be incredibly loud and the players will definitely feed off of it.

I’m with Jess on this one. IF can get solid 6 out of Grienke and Javier will be best shot…maybe just maybe The Ol’ Warhorse can push back time one last time…but reality says he’s only got 50-60 pitches at best and Sox are scalding hot…just hope they don’t bang him around like a pinball machine…would hate to see him go out like that

Sorry…its not 2019…Grienke has lost a lot of the firepower in that arm…Noticeable the last few months…He wont last 3 innings and Astros get bombed again. I think Zach is planning to retire…he knows how bad the problem is…Without Lance, starting pitching isnt good enough to even compete in this series, much less win it…

If Zach goes 3 innings and only gives up 2-3 runs it’ll be a stark improvement from the previous two starts. Stros in 6!

I hope you are wrong.

Sure I said it last year but I sure do miss Charlie. Really hope he gets the W tonight for the Braves.

I’ll stick with my assessment that our catcher has done a bad job in the last two games. Pitchers too.
But there’s only one common denominator in three grand slams in two games. Coming from a family of baseball catchers I know what happens when you call bad games from behind the plate.

That said. The Astros could easily win tonight. If that happens the pendulum swings back in their favor. Of the last 3 starters there’s only one with the moxie to override the catcher for a full game…Greinke.

And there ya go. The ump pinched Greinke on the low corner and Maldonado tee’s it up for him over the center of the plate.

I knew when he dropped his glove on the center of the plate someone was gonna pick the ball up in the street.

The staff has to beat our infield, their hitters, and Maldonado. The 71’ A’s couldn’t win in that situation.

Not the catchers fault our guys can’t locate

Lol. Some of you people make me laugh. You probably think the guys just back there to throw the ball back to the mound.

You just heard the booth say Greinke and Co. were having trouble agreeing on the pitch. I guarantee you when Zack screamed after that homer he wasn’t just screaming at himself.

Maldy didn’t hang that slider…
