Unless one of yall wins the Powerball or recruits a handful of billionaires to support the NIL, winning seasons will have to be the goal until we build a decent NIL program because we won’t maintain sustained success handing out second-hand Kias and giftcards to Marshall’s, and it is wrong to put that on the coach. Or would you prefer “If Fritz does not have us in the playoffs by year 3 fire the bum.”

I am really liking Fritz more and more with each passing day. Yeoman recruited mostly within driving distance with one hand tied behind his back and produced giant killer teams. Fritz says that is his recruiting strategy as well. I know…boy do I…times have changed but I believe he is right. He will create a culture again I believe.

Last HC had 3 losing seasons in 5 with 4 of those seasons being in AAC and not the much harder B12. If Fritz stays 5 years and goes 4-8, 6-6, 7-5, 6-6, 9-3 yeah I’ll be VERY happy about it. Of course I’d like some 10 win seasons but those don’t come around easily.
lol, that’s not what that says. If I said .500 yes. But I said .500+. My whole point is he will have us in bowl games every year starting after this one transition year. Might be 6, 7, 8 or more wins but he will make us a consistent winner not consistent loser like old HC. Enjoy it. It’s coming.

The work CWF has done in 6 months shows he did not blame Dana and I don’t think fans should either. It is time for the fans to go to work.
I blame the fans. New head coach, most likely new AD, new season brimming with confidence, new scoreboard. The support for the school at the level it needs to be from the fans has not been shown in years. Do you really think fans will not show up to express their displeasure with CDH and Pez? Most fans on this board are able to turn the page and support the new regime. What hasn’t broken through is support from sports fans in Houston.

we have an minuscule number of fans compared to fan forums of other P4 schools.
they have so many passionate fans that hey have multiple fan forums and can actually charge access

No, they won’t show up simply because we won’t be beating to world yet. Once we do, they’ll come watch. I liken it to when Herman arrived since even him coming from a national championship team didn’t fill up the stadium right away.

You have to make the game experience complement the winning football. If CWF pulls out a win against UNLV and the team looks great, the biggest improvement a team makes is week 1 to week 2. We should all be supporting CWF. The things that can be done with a huge video board is a start, sound, graphics, videos, in game close ups and live tailgate shots should all pop on the huge screen.
From my perspective the QB position will set the tone for the season. Will he actually play like a first or second round pick? Rather than talk and just look like one. Nobody wants to watch or play with a interception happy QB. Just kills the intrigue.
