I don’t follow them, but the straight W-L record looks pretty damn good to me (especially from where we’re sitting at UH the last few years).
Helton was 46-24 (0.657) overall, and 36-13 (0.735) in PAC12. Must be more to the story. He won games at a good clip, but musta not been winning the right games.
They live in delusion like notre dame, Michigan and Texas. They could only win recently when cheating.
That record is misleading. He has not won more than 10 games since 2017. That is unacceptable at USC. No way they should be as mediocre as they are. I am at a loss as to why they hired him in the first place. USC is Hollywood U; why they would have some boring, frumpy guy on the sideline who cannot recruit is beyond me.
If I remember correctly didn’t he take over for Sarkisian. If so not great weekend for either of the two.
They did go 5-1 last year, which would average out to 10-2 over a full season, but they played a pretty soft schedule and lost in the conference title game.
Saw this on The Score app and thought the picture was Kim Helton, he definitely physically looks like his dad IMO.
10 win seasons, that is delusion. People have been surprised that Helton has lasted this long. The Stanford loss finally gave them the excuse. He would have ended up with a good record again but not champs, not in playoff discussion which is where some think USC should always be.
Why would Cristobal leave Oregon? He can get whoever he wants there.

Ironic that Tom Herman doesn’t get a blip on the possibilities to be replacement. He wanted big time and when you fall sometimes you’re not allowed to get back up.

The Case baloney really needs to stop. The man is still in NFL. And has never Coached a down at any level that I know of. Let the man finish his career. Just irritating when I hear it. Sorry.
