Herman Hangover

It seems that some on this Board are still suffering from a Herman hangover. Recall how he left UH and deceived his players, administration and everyone else. Coaches leave for better jobs all the time, it is part of the business. But at least be honest and do it with integrity.

I still support CDH and believe he will right the ship. He will be our head coach in 2023, unless he loses the team and the team completely collapses. This team deserves our support for the rest of the season.

  1. We can still win the AAC
  2. We can still go undefeated in the AAC
  3. We can still go to a bowl game as AAC champs

Why jump ship when all of this is ahead of us?

I don’t think anyone is jumping ship. We all want to view Dana through the Case Keenum years and we were expecting an offensive genius. I honestly think he was at one point.

But I am not sure what offense we run right now.

Plus last year was a tissue soft schedule and an AWFUL Auburn team/program in the bowl.

We were hoping but I don’t think anyone is hoping anymore.

CDH ain’t going nowhere lol

This board overreacts to everything. If we win out the season then the entire mood changes. However, even in the unlikely case that that happens, CDH will still be here at least 2-3 years into the Big 12.

I don’t recall a single person saying Auburn was awful last December. Just in the last week on this board they have gone from solid to average to bad to now awful (in all caps). By Friday we might count the Auburn game as a D3 win.

I will rather be Tony Montana in the chair than watching Belk defense at least I’m having fun. Misery is UH football at the moment.

Pearland lighten up and go get another beer.

With the current atmosphere, WE ARE NOT winning out! Jolt the leadership (Coaches) into lighting a fire under this team, correcting stupid penalties, add a more varied offense, insist the defense make tackles or lose their position, and stop making brain dead coaching decisions on the sidelines.
If these things could happen, I’d be more optimistic about our winning out.

Bet you said the same thing last year

Last year Auburn won @ LSU, @ Arkansas, beat Ole Miss, and their losses included to Bama in 4 OTs, and one score losses at Penn State, at South Carolina, and against Mississippi State.

They were better than every team in our conference other than the one we lost to in the conference championship game.

Last year was the third time we’ve finished a season ranked in the last 30 years. I believe it was also only the second time in the entire history of our program that we went undefeated in our conference schedule.

I’m not sold on Dana long term either, but the retroactive crapping on what was accomplished last season is complete nonsense. I’m also willing to see how we fare in conference before I get too wound up one way or another.

The Auburn team we saw in the bowl is the same Auburn team now. They are AWFUL.

This team deserves our support for the simple reason that they are our team – period. Nothing else needs to be said. Fans support their team, if they only support in the good times they are pi$$ poor fans. You can hate the coaches, hate the weather, hate the food at the stadium; but by God, fans support their team and show up and cheer for them!

Piss poor fans that sounds like most of the city of Houston and a lot of our alumni

Why do so many of yall think this kind of attitude is unique to the Coogs? Go look at every board of every team after 2 consecutive losses. This is just the norm on internet boards.

My reply is about attendance and support of your team. There’s teams that win or lose, the fans support the team in person. They may complain on line but are there for the team.
