If Murray St. goes back to Super regionals next year, it will be between UTSA and Murray St. coaches.
Hallmark has proven himself. I am not sure Skirka is on the same level. He would definitely be if he goes back again next year.

Chris Pollard, of Duke, took the Virginia job this morning. That is awful quick after that loss. Just gut wrenching for Duke.
Was his eye twitching during the dugout interview they usually do during the game last night?

Hallmark, Dallas Baptist HC, Coastal Carolina HC, Murray St, East Carolina, or a young assistant coach. All would be better hires right now.
Of course they would all be better hires but that’s not how it works.
Dallas Baptist coach is going nowhere.
Murray St. coach has no Texas ties and you don’t hire someone that could struggle to repeat one great year.
Coastal Carolina coach is finishing his first year as a head coach….he was handed a great program….no ties to Texas and not sure how much of this year was great coaching or the fact that he was 100% set up for success.
East Carolina coach is good….really good.
But he played at ECU and as long as he makes decent money he isn’t leaving.
Hallmark is the top guy.
And other than Sean Allen and maybe a couple of other guys with great resumes and strong ties to our state I am not even considering giving the job to an assistant.
UH is going to be a HOT opening when Nunez gets his sh-t together.

And UTSA has messed around and let Hallmark’s contract expire. He currently does not have a deal to coach next year.

I agree with pretty much everything Pollard posts but it is not like this is rocket science. If you can’t produce for six years, you get fired. I have been in sales my whole life. I would never get six years. Two, maybe three at the most. Hire a hungry coach who has a lot of ties in Texas and has proven himself at a previous program. It is pretty simple. I have never seen a coach, at any level, get this many chances to produce. My Dad always told me, “People will show you who they are. Believe them.”

The softball coach had no real Tx ties except coaching at UH and Tech over a decade ago. SC native.
