Guys move on all the time…Chambers and King have moved on, their choice, and we should all wish them well and move on ourselves.

Oh you can! You just get caught in major traffic jam and nowhere to Turn. 
Actually you can but you can’t question a kid even if people write dubious stuff about him.
Sometimes your job is to not make the tackle, get open for the big play, etc. If you consistently do not play your role it hurts the team and will get you on the bench if your are not an Ed Oliver / JJ Watt level talent who make up for it so consistently. I assume this is what happened in this case.

I looked it up.
Not a single player from McNeese has been drafted by The NFL in 10 years.
Thus Mr. Chambers could not possibly think that leaving UH and going to McNeese will get him into The NFL. Just impossible to think that.
In contrast both TCU and UH produce NFL players.
Yet Mr. Chambers has left both.
This situation speaks for itself. As far back as 1966 UH players left rather than do what Coach Yeoman demanded. Heck, they might have been nice guys!
But as to Football they were done. No NFL team beckoned.
And thus Mr. Chambers is done.

Chambers didnt play for TCU…moved here and didnt play for Apple…and last year, didnt play for CDH…thats THREE coaches…I dont know what the problem is, but when 3 straight coaches do not play you, it is NOT a coaching problem, so stop the whining about Holgersen because it isnt justified…

Peggy, thanks for the compliments and glad you agree with me a lot. Like I have said, I really don’t know the reasons Chambers didn’t play and only had suspicions that are just that – with no proof or backup. You are right, I did not mean to demean young Mr. Chambers and am sorry you took it as such.
Yes, I think CDH is a good coach as he had done well at WVa where it is extremely hard to recruit and was never able to get the kids on a level of UT, OU, BU, TT, etc. Whether he will turn out to be as good as we expect him to be is something only time will tell. But as long as he is our coach I will back him – just like I have done with every coach in the past – unless he proves to be a flop like our last coach named Dana.
Hi Mike, thanks for your post. You know, I was so excited when Holgorsen was hired as our head coach. After he beat Texas at UT two years ago in the super exciting game, I turned to my husband and said wistfully - ‘I wish we could have a coach like him; he is so much fun to watch’. Now I’ve done a complete 180 degree turn on him. However, that being said, I am very steady in my support of UH football and am going to hope that he is an extremely successful and long term coach for us. Go COOGS!

Not sure where this falls into my response? But ok.
Book it. Holgs wins big this season. Period. We will be 8-4 at the minimum. You simply can’t have 35 Red Shirts that have practiced all year with the playing team, a bunch of quality transfers that did the same, a lot of returning injured, and a decent recruiting class and not expect better results from a vastly depleted team. A team I may remind you that played hard and was for the most part in each game.

I’m on the Dana Train. I believe he’s going to do very well. He won in a tougher conference @ WV so he’s proven he can coach. More than anything I want him to do well for the program. 2 out of the last 3 HC bombed…we need a good run
