Mario Cristobal isn’t having issues with recruiting at Miami with their attendance issues and off campus stadium. Not taking any shots at Dana either I’m just curious what transfers/commitments we will get end of season since there’s no G5 glass ceiling anymore.

Miami is averaging about twice what UH is. They don’t really have attendance problems.

A coach “wanting to be here” is the dumbest reason in the world to want to keep a coach. It’s irrelevant, especially with the move to P5. No one should be satisfied with mediocrity over excellence simply because the coach could move up.

The announced attendance for game below was over 45K. It’s not unusual for them to have a crowd like this either.
They always have 40K+ in announced attendance but have lots of games like below. They must sell a lot of season tickets to boosters, companies, brokers, etc.

It’s more than just “wanting to be there.” He’s put his money where his mouth is. He’s not just collecting a paycheck. He gave $1m to the university. He gets mad when he’s losing. He shows passion. Do the players play hard for him? Is the team improving as the season progresses?

TCU is top 10. Baylor is the defending Big 12 champion. Texas Tech beat us on a backup QB and has a great recruiting class on the way. Texas is looking much improved, is SEC bound, and has a commitment from probably the most sought after prospect in College Football history. Really the only P5 program in Texas that doesn’t obviously have it better than us is Aggie.
The only real question that matters…Is CDH the man to build UH Football into a Big 12 Championship Program ? Next year will answer that question and where the program stands 5 years in with CDH. No sane person expects Coogs to win Big 12 in Year 1 just don’t get destroyed or be a doormat

By whom? DCTF has us as 6th, as did Gallery Sports in their most recent rankings (granted that was last week).

If that’s where you want to go, it doesn’t matter whether he earned it or not, it was in his bank account and he gave it to UH. He didn’t have to do it. It shows me he’s invested in the program. Herman had a similar clause in his contract. Do you think he would have given his bonus to UH?

He would have deserved it with the amount of marketing and games he won.
I thank him for his donation idk if anyone else would’ve done it. I just don’t want it to be seen as him taking it out of his pocket

Holgerson isn’t going anywhere until he gets 1 year in the B12.
After that, my opinion we’re seriously shopping for a new coach. I know it’s crazy, but the only one I can see make a Herman-like splash is Prime. Hope he’s in the conversation.
