Patton wasn’t Ike either. Ike was good at working the crowd so to speak, keeping people happy and working together basically and his organizational skills were top-shelf. Patton had no taste for tip-toeing around peoples feelings and the foo-foo part of being a general. He just wanted to kill Nazis.
I’m OK with Holgerson being rough around the edges and standoff-ish as long as his teams kick butt. But, all programs need both a Patton and and Ike. Some programs have one guy who can do both. If Holgerson can’t do both, someone else needs to be the cheerleader and I think it should be Pez. Time is running out.

Miami has never had problems recruiting with the money being passed around.
Its year 4…No progress, no culture. Good news we are in the cupcake part of the schedule where anticipated wins make him look good.

SMU lost to TCU by eight. They aren’t exactly a cupcake and ECU definitely isn’t.
We had a pretty weak home schedule this year, at least in terms of notoriety.

Well, Holgy got us to the AAC Championship Game last year, a bowl win over Auburn, and a 10-2 record. And we’re 5-3 right now and in position to go to another AAC Championship game. That’s definitely not terrible.

Yep, ECU and SMU are the same as TX Tech and Iowa State. Meanwhile, UCF and Cinci are ranked between Baylor and Kansas in the 30s.

ISU beat #36 Iowa and has lost five in a row. They should beat WVU at home this weekend.
ECU beat #41 UCF and #62 BYU.
SMU has lost its games by one score except the horrible second half at UCF (41-19 loss).
