Eh, it kills me to see a dude like that get $60MM/yr.

And he’ll probably be pretty good there since it’s a stacked roster and he doesn’t have to be the guy.

As for the Dodgers, there’s absolutely no consequence to them making a bad deal, even if he doesn’t produce, and that grinds my gears, too.

Now you’re talking. I’ve always thought Pena could be the lynchpin to getting whole again. But it’s not popular in Houston because of HEB commercials.

In regards to Tucker I think he’s the type of player that can blow up a clubhouse. Nothing messes up a solid franchise like a lazy outfielder. Remember how a $100 million looked in Carlos Lee’s outfield.

Reminds me of the movie, “The Satan Bug.”

It is plausible to confuse the meaning of ‘salsa’ night. Just sayin’.

Confirmation of what we have said all along….

Dodgers better hope he doesn’t get a hangnail.

Dana Brown has deservedly caught some heat, but the Tucker trade looks even better now than it did a year ago.

I think when all is said and done we win the trade.

“Fans” that are trashing Cam Smith don’t have a clue about baseball.

He was 22 years old with no meaningful time in the minors and oh btw, go learn how to be an outfielder.( which by the way he was well above average at)

The kid had never played more than 60-70 games in a season….guaranteed he got physically worn down some and then when he started scuffling it got in his head.

I have seen this up close on the collegiate level many times.

I hope when the season ended the kid didn’t pick up a bat for 4-6 weeks.

I’m hoping he comes back completely refreshed and ready to kick ass….the talent is real, it didn’t disappear.

You guys didn’t really think Dana would find a way to pay Caratini. Caratini was legit and a more than capable backup. That guy carried us some games and held his own in others. I never felt like we had a hole in the lineup with that guy.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Dana has one foot in the playoffs and one in the gas station. I wish Crane would make up his mind if he wants to fund a world series winner or rebuild the team. So far this is a team built on hope and baseball cards.

“But Funk…but Funk…It’s hard to be a GM with no farm and no money!!!”

Funk: “no money my ass”

The Astros essentially chose Sanchez over Caratini.

Damn that kid just blew his MCL!

I keep seeing a lot of smoke for a Paredes trade with the Red Sox that includes Duran, but it sounds like both sides want more in return.

I personally think Paredes for Duren is a fair straight up deal.

Duren is a heck of a player….but he had one really good season and last year was good.

But he strikes out a lot and doesn’t walk much……if he was the player from two years ago then sure they may need a sweetener….but his most recent season says no way.

Also, they are the ones that NEED a a 3b….we don’t NEED an OF.

He’ll, they can have Meyers….hes got value.

Paredes and Meyers

For

Duren and a top 20 Class A pitcher.

I’ve heard Wilyer Abreu mentioned instead of Duren, and that makes a lot of sense because Abreu doesn’t make any money. But the Astros have to get more than Abreu back for Paredes.

What about that Bello dude for the pitcher coming back? I keep seeing his name mentioned. I can’t see Boston wanting Meyers, given their OF situation, so that might require a third team or the Astros sending a minor league pitcher back instead.

I would not want Bello at all….people keep acting like the guy is an ace….i don’t see it.

A deep dive in his numbers show me this guy does not miss bats….no thanks.

We need bats, not more pitching.
Wilyer and a top bat from AA or AAA would be better than adding Bello.

This just in: The Dodgers have acquired Greenland for cash and a player to be named later.

Are they deferring the payments? :joy:
