They’ll start with a 6-man rotation. Weiss is a bit of a long shot IMO based on the hype Kyle Hart received last season when the Padres signed him from the Korean league. That didn’t work out so well.
This is what I see coming out of camp:
Brown
Imai
Javier
Burrows
Alexander
Arrighetti
Weiss will be a nice story if the Astros magic dust works again.
Someone will need to emerge again because there is zero reason to believe we go through the season without multiple starters getting injured. I do like Blublaugh and Ullola stepping into those roles.
Im cautiously optimistic Wesneski is an arm we can add in the second half of the season.
I for one hope we aren’t done. Blast through the cap and sign some three-inning viper for the bullpen. In regards to the staff if Arrighetti comes through ST unscathed and sets himself up in the rotation then I predict we have a good year. Imai gives us that guy who can go innings, and who leads the team with aggression. Something Dana’s teams have been lacking.
Actually I don’t care….jokes on them and they don’t even know it.
And as for Tucker, it’s not the 400-500M he thought he was going to get…. Plus it’s in California so enjoy those taxes and IMO doubtful he ever sniffs that AAV after this contract.
