At least their earnings per labor hr are going to increase by leaps and bounds. Why not have the fans choose how many innings. They get to vote in the middle of the 3rd inning.

The timing of all of this seems a little to close to Manfredās comments at the winter meetings be happenstance. Maybe itās just a case of him hearing rumblings that the RSNs werenāt healthy.
I really enjoyed the ATTSW production and broadcast team - hope theyāre still around and that I donāt have to subscribe to yet another service just to watch Astros games. I got ATTTV (now DirecTV Stream) for that purpose when I moved āout of market.ā
With prices like these for Opening Day, fans would vote for 18 innings (this is a snapshot of ticket prices offered by the Astros to season ticket holder in their single game āpre-saleā).

I think most of the starting pitching looks good and is off to a good startā¦.Altuve, Bregman and a few others are off to hot startsā¦ā¦lol

I think itās been a great spring for some of the non-roster invites who will start the year in AA and AAAā¦.Will Wagner has shown some things, Lee ( likely back up to Maldy) has looked good.
I had read that he made some adjustments towards the end of the year last year and showed big improvement with the batā¦.looks like it has carried over.
Yainer bit of a slow start but small sample sizeā¦.
Dirden has been as good in the field as he has with the batā¦.I would love to see him really push Chas because I think he has a higher upsideā¦.problem is that heās not on the 40 man and Meyer is unfortunatelyā¦.somebody would have to be released so Dirden probably has to start in AAAā¦.
I will say the new GM seems to be much more aggressive ( at least the way he talks) in challenging guys to move up quicker than Click.
Kinda bummed that Gilbert has a hamstring issue right nowā¦.But I think him and Melton are going to be legit.

It looks like we are a little stronger in regards to position players in the upper minors than we get credit forā¦.my biggest worry is Starting pitchingā¦.Lance is a guy that when he is healthy should be looked at like itās a bonus, but I donāt think you can ever depend on him to give you 160-200 inningsā¦.The upper minors has virtually zero depth at SPā¦.almost 100% will have to go out and get someoneā¦.Thereās some good SP below AA but not ready for this yearā¦.Maybe we get lucky and the next Luis Garcia( how often do we get a guy who comes to bigs from A ball and then stays up for good?!)comes out of nowhere?

Yep. He cranked itā¦ no doubter.
Him & the 2B Villas ( sp) were my favs when I use to go watch them all the time few yrs ago. Heās done better than I expected at the next level. With injuries he may get short call up at some point this year.
Possiblyā¦.the fact that he plays multiple positions really helpsā¦.Seems like Hensley/Dubon have spots locked but as you said an injury or or overall suckage and CJ itās a shot hopefully.

I hope so. Heās gone up through the Milb the old fashioned way. One step at a time. Takes lot of work but as important- diligence to your craft.

False dichotomy. I grew up on baseball, and STILL play baseball. Pitchclock should have been there the moment they saw it work in basketball. No reason all these guys waste time. So glad they finally did it.
Fair enoughā¦.but I saw one where the batter had one foot in the box, looking at the pitcher, waiting for the pitcher to toe the rubberā¦.pitcher was kinda walking around, nowhere near ready to pitch and they called a strike on the batterā¦ā¦pure lunacy.
Itās not like the pitcher was standing there waiting on himā¦.
I agree with that. If the pitcher isnāt on the rubber, then the batter shouldnāt be able to have a strike called on him.
