Oh i just saw this. Yep i agree :100:. Current group loves him. The Latins, Anglos etc. Speaks perfect English so No communication barrier.

About 11-12 years ago I had an “interview” to be an area scout for the Reds
.when I found out the pay/time investment ratio I passed.

Great job for a retired guy or a young guy with no family to use as a stepping stone

not for someone who worked 70-80 hours a week with a family.

Amen. Amen. I’m so sick of the Everettization of Dusty’s lineup. If your guy ain’t hitting then get his #% outa the lineup.

I actually think McCormick could grow into a slashing, Finley style hitter if he worked at it. But his stance oozes fear sometimes. Myers’ bus left the station and ain’t coming back. Yay for Dubon but get back with me at the All-Star break. If he’s above .275 after playing once a week then I’ll quit throwing furniture at him.

I haven’t been following rehabilitation. When do Altuve and Brantley get back?

I think Altuve is early to mid June depending on rehab assignment.

Last I heard on Brantley was first week of May

that was a change because they initially said two weeks after the start of the season and now it’s gonna be five?

It’s a BS deal

rehab/injury wise he was supposed to be ready opening day or close to

then he had “ family issues” and split from spring training and threw his rehab program off and now it’s 5 week’s minimum

they never said anyone was sick or dying that I know of and I pray for the guy it was/is not.

But if this is some BS wife drama that did doesn’t hunt
.we’ve all been through times
.how many of you were able to put your life on hold for a month and leave your job hanging

while you got paid?

I think he was away from the team for some time in 2022 for “personal reasons,” too. No idea what’s going on, but the guy isn’t going to ever give us a full season.

It wouldn’t shock me to find out that the personal matter is directly related to issues with his shoulder rehab. He’s been through a few of these, and I’m sure it’s a challenge to keep pushing it.

I’ll just touch on the expected return dates.
The other part on MB :exploding_head::flushed:

  1. There’s hope Tuve can be ready as soon as week of May 22nd, if not maybe few days after that. That’s why they didn’t put him on 60 day IL in event he was healthy they didn’t want to lose 4,5, 7 gms where he could be playing
  2. Brantley, yes first week of May is the projection per GM Brown this morning.

He needs to go down to Sugarland and figure it out. He is not an effective starter right now.

Forrest Whitley might get a call soon. You never know. Either Garcia or Urquidy needs to be towards the back end of Rotation. Not both imo.

Garcia is not going anywhere.

He had gone 26-17 with an ERA of about 3.5 in the last couple of years
.he’s not going to Sugarland to work anything out anytime soon.

He has earned the right to work out of a bad few starts
.had these few games been mid season you wouldn’t even notice.

And Urquidy has given up 1 run in the last two starts and lowered his ERA to 2.35.

Whitley has not even thrown 5 innings in a game yet
.only chance he comes up is an injury to a starter or to take Blanco or Martinez’s spot.
