Houston Astros Baseball & MLB Discussions

Haha. Xmas check on way. As big Astros loyal fan, follower as you’ll find since late 60s.
Everything will be fine. I take backseat to no one here on Astros history & knowledge . Full disclosure.

Now back to Subject at hand. Glad they received goods for Tucker.

Brother, I’m so sick to my stomach right now…not ready to play nice with anyone.

I’m sure Jesse’s a swell guy…and I would totally appreciate and welcome his contribution. But I’m a little bummed about this one, sorry to say…

Mr Jay. You sick abt losing Tucker?

No, the Tucker deal is fine…I just fear the chain reaction of it means no Bregs.

too old to get attached to players…haha…I’m about the team as well…don’t wanna jump the gun (yet), but Bregs feels pretty much out the door, and I think it’s a bad team move to let him go…but we don’t know the results or the details surrounding them…we shall see what happens…still a chance, I guess

Pollard i had heard previously that Cam Smith was top prospect in Cubs system but don’t know any details. What are his strengths etc

Is this a better package vs what we could’ve would’ve should’ve gotten with the Yankees?

don’t think so, IMO…but Yankees probably pulled the plug and walked away from the asking price

Is Cam Smith the Cubs top prospect?

I have to think Dana got the best deal; after all, it’s his business to know talent, evaluate talent and sign talent.

I’m not super knowledgeable about non-Astros players.

Is there a possibility of now being able to resign Bregman and either move him or Paredes to first base? If Bregman’s arm is an issue, but his glove is still good…maybe first base is the place for him. :man_shrugging:

I obviously know nothing about the prospects so I defer to you and Jay.

Yeah, I’m still hoping that they decide to put money down and get Bregman.

He is their #7 prospect per MLB

Dang, for giving up a potential mvp player like Tucker, I would have tried to get their top prospect. I guess perhaps the one guaranteed year of Tucker bumped them down the prospect list.

There’s a lot of people who think Smith has the highest upside out of all the prospects in the Cubs organization. Only time will tell.
