I think I’m more worried about RF. Lol
Maybe we’ll trade Paredes for an OF. ![]()
Who do we have out there right now anyways? McCormick?
Probably. His noodle arm is rough over there.
Should have signed Santander.

Latest from Heyman on Bregman. He is definitely plugged in to Boras, what truths are being told is Another story. ![]()
Then who plays SS?
Bregman?
Keeps getting worse. ![]()
The only sensible approach is to send Paredes to the OF.
This becomes a hot mess if it happens, but I’m here for it.
When I saw him at SS in college I was incredibly impressed……he didn’t have great natural range but his footwork was so freaking good that he made up for it.
Bregman’s problem is the arm issues he has been dealing with….you gotta have a big arm at SS….dont know that he could do it.
Most SS in MLB throw it 88-92 across the diamond to first base.
You can get away with 85 if you have incredibly clean mechanics and perfect footwork….other guys that can run it up over 95mph can get away with not being as precise.
I think I would rather deal with Bregman at SS than Altuve and his already so-so arm running around in left everyday. Like Funk said, plenty more injury opportunities in left. But I don’t think this will happen anyways. I fully expect Altuve to be at second regardless of where Bregman plays.
Imagine the lineup!?
Altuve
Bregman
Alvarez
Walker
Yainer
Paredes
Pena
Meyers
RF not signed yet.
Walker has played more OF than anyone being discussed. Of course he was just signed and is a multiple time gold glover.
Let’s get this done- spring training just around the corner!

I don’t believe one syllable regarding Altuve to the outfield anymore. Just stupid as %#.
Apparently, Altuve himself was the one that had the idea about going to LF if it meant being able to bring back Bregman
I understand that. Yordan can offer to play catcher, too. It doesn’t mean its a smart decision. Its why you pay a GM to makes decisions and spend money. I love Altuve but its just not smart at his age, size, and injury history.
Although I think Altuve would do it. I suspect its hyperbole to get Lil Enos’ attention.
Bregman, at this stage in his career, would be a terrible choice to play shortstop. Especially when you have one a really good one already on the roster.
E-Sock or Altuve to left field makes a lot more sense than weakening the entire left side of the infield.
Altuve to left makes no sense under any scenario. And “really good” may not be the best description of Peña these days.
ATTENTION!!!
Pin this to your fireplace mantles:
If Altuve goes to the outfield I will predict the comments from this board by likelihood:
“Well, that didn’t work out so well”
“What is the recovery time for a torn oblique?”
"Did they say he ripped his achilles on the warning track or trying to get his heel outta padding?"
"Should he be trying to leap that high at his size?"
“He didn’t look to have hit the wall that hard but imaging says a torn labrum”
"The good news is only one of them has a concussion."
"I was laughing when Altuve landed in the lady’s boobs. Then I saw his forearm hanging at a 90 degree angle."
Altuve would need a cutoff man to get throws in from LF to 3B.
