To add insult to injury we are paying all of Montero’s salary in the deal. The moves we made with no GM were just terrible and have cost this team salary they could use for actual help on this roster.

Where did you see we were paying “all” of his salary? That does not sound right….all I have seen is “undisclosed amount of cash”.
If we are , the PTBNL better be a decent prospect.
We’re paying ~70% of his remaining salary, so that takes about $3MM off the books and clears a roster spot for someone with a future.

Did you see the ridiculous double play the Mariners turned to keep the Astros off the board in the 11th? Caratini showed off that pinch-hitting magic to win it in the 12th, though. After T. Scott, the bullpen was nails last night.

I saw that Taylor was bad but everyone else was good….looks like Okert is back to himself from a couple of years ago….his signing was sneaky good.

Apparently, the Astros realized that Cam was setting up further away from the plate as the season has progressed and they made an adjustment before yesterday’s game. He has another hit today.
Good on them for catching that, but why did it take so long?
