If three times through the lineup is Alexander’s kryptonite, then he would make for a highly reliable long relief pitcher.
I’m interested in learning how effective Garcia will be upon his return, not to mention McCullars out of the BP.

At least Cleveland won
Can the Astros please get back to how they were playing in July (I think) when they were racking up a ton of 2-out hits and RBI’s?
How about any hits.
BTW, not watching the game….is Lance’s velo better out of the pen?
According to Dana Brown, Garcia is ready to join the SP rotation this week.
Welcome back Luis.
Why in the he!! Isn’t McCullers, Walker, or Espada fighting for the runner interference call. He was clearly on the infield grass all the way to first base.
I don’t think it was reviewable.
I don’t think it is either, but I would like to see some fire from somebody. I wanted Espada to run out there and argue until he got ejected.
Radio guys said he’ll likely start tomorrow.
If LMJ can’t get through 2 innings he really should not be on the ML roster.
Getting tired of him talking about “how close he is” after every crap performance.
The Astros lack of offense against the fifth ranked team in the AL West has my concern.
It didn’t matter what McCullars did when the offense scored only one run in 18 innings.
McC first inning was good. In his second inning, he gives up a double to Trout and a run scores. Later, he committed a throwing error after fielding a bunt and another run scored.
I want to see what he does in his next relief outing. If he continues to struggle as a RP, he probably won’t make the postseason roster.
Astros have always been a as good as your last at bat team. Many a years they rip the leather off the ball and go cold in the playoffs, other years someone will be cold and then go off in the playoffs
Ive always believe the best team in baseball is the team that gets hot at the right time. I.e. Atlanta Braves winning the World Series as a wildcard with only 70 something wins
Hopefully, they have a couple more hot streaks in storage.
Good first inning for Garcia. Fans are wishing and hoping the best for him the rest of the game.
How did he look?
Velo?
Man, it’s good to see that dude back on the bump.
4 seam FB - 92-94.
Curve 73-78
Cutter 80-84
Change up 83
He’s throwing a mixture of pitches to keep the batters off balance and it has resulted in
retiring the first six batters.
Yeah, when he was really dealing he was up to 97-98 in the playoffs.
His stuff looks sharp.
Garcia pitches 3 up, 3 down in the 3rd with 37 pitches.
