Yes, for a minor league RP in “”A” ball that is not even in the Royals Organization Top 30.
So slightly better than “cash considerations “….maybe.
What’s really dumb is that when Nate was DFA’d Dana had to know there would be interest by other clubs.
Had he traded him from the Major League roster he probably would have fetched a better player in return.
Another dumb move by Dana.

This is the thing that doesn’t make any sense. It’s like he woke up one day and thought “I have to clear some roster space by this afternoon.”
There may be things he’s good at, but being a MLB GM is not one of them.

Are the Astros giving up on Cam Smith? Third consecutive game he’s not starting.
Espada is a moron….hes got Wade and his .186 average batting 4th.
It’s going to be a struggle against Sandy tonight.
As far as Cam goes, sure he’s been in a funk but the people he is running out in front of him is ridiculous….Cam is a monster defensively.
Starting next year he is going to be a perennial.800+ OPS guy IMO.
The sooner Dana and Joe are gone the better.

The issue with Cam at the plate is his inability to shorten the swing and stride. He has elite bat speed but he only needs about 80% of that bat speed to be an .800+OPS hitter.
I think he can figure it out, but it’s taking longer than I thought it would.
