Help me out here. If the homer would mot have been a homer then how did the fan interference prevent a homer?
It looks to me like the fan interference interfered with what could have been a triple in creating a fake homer, which is how it was ruled. The OF’s glove never got high enough to touch the ball. The Yankees never had a homer, fan interference or not.

The issue wasn’t whether it was a homer, the issue was whether the fan interfered with the play. The umps then determined what would have happened from there.
I’m not talking about the underlying truth (the issue prompting the video review). I am talking about the Yankee allegation…that they were robbed of a homer. It was impossible as the ball trajectory made it impossible to leave the park. So anything alleged now (after the first video) is not logical.
The only potential exception would be if the CF had tipped it over himself…which is illusory. He wouldn’t reach the ball.

I think it should be encouraged. It was obvious that the CF was going to knock the ball over the fence in the unlikely event that the laws of gravity weren’t suspended to help the Yankees.

i have never seen aluve play at comerica, i only go to one game per year; mlb and pro and now college is not worth me dropping thousands to make players muti-mutli millionaires. aluve only gets heckled at comerica is detrit fans in general believe he cheated. i hadnt seen reports he gets heckled but he still does at enough mlb stadiums; the cheating label is stuck on him probably if he reuested a trade folling the astros cheating season, he wouldnt be heckled.
