Yes, but a “long haired gas can” with potential! :joy:

He doesn’t have quite the stuff as HB but not a ton of guys can sit 97 and throw a 93 mph cutter.

He’s got good enough repertoire to be a successful 4 or 5 guy IMO.

Apologies if I’m coming off as a “know it all” or interrupting yalls conversation.

He was Busch today but I see signs of promise with him. Hell Framber has had those this year. If he starts falling off like France then I might start gathering kindling.

I probably missed it in the conversation but looks like JV is just dealing with Neck “discomfort “ rather than any sort of arm issue.

Stuff like that happens as you age. More prone to weekly aches and tweaks of muscles. Although that guy is a real warrior in his training.

It took someone less than 24 hrs to come w the snarky comments again, but yet I’m the blame. It’s fine, some just strive for attn.

Hopefully the Astros can find way to Win the series today!

I’m only repeating your exact words to me….that is not snarky……it’s a fact.

You are complaining about something YOU said….:joy:

If the shoe was on the other foot I wouldn’t say a word….

Stop getting so offended at everything and have a good Father’s Day sir!

Chronically providing service to Kate Upton catches up to you

So Blanco going on regular rest….should be able to light Maeda up.

Looking ahead this needs to be 4 straight wins….
Personally I just don’t think things are going to come together this year….

But this is the Astros, a team that has been to 7 straight ALCS’s so there will always be a sliver of hope….that sliver of hope needs to start now.

@Pollardsvision

I only speak the Truth. You already let everyone know what I said multiple times + they can read, they don’t need u to repeat 3-4 times. Ok, hopefully you good now.

This is the blessing/curse that will keep them from making big roster moves. The Abreu thing does give me some hope - guys like Chas and Singleton are on notice.

Not sure how much truth there is to it but trading for Alonso or Goldschmidt would be a huge mistake IMO….its time to let some of the young guys loose….lets see Loperfido at first, let’s see Leon take Chas’s spot and see what happens……even Whitcomb, who I think they are sleeping on should get some run……

Singleton and Chas, as you said are on notice.
I think Meyers should be included in any kind of trade should that happen, not gonna have more value than he does now.

It’s time to shake some things up.

Let’s get Bloss up here and see what he can do……he is dominating AA right now….i think his stuff plays right now but if they think he needs some AAA then make it happen.

Well if this winds up being a “soft rebuild” and is played right by Dana we can be right back where we belong next year or the year after.

We should only need to buy a couple players….and it does not get talked about much but the club is worth 2 billion more now than when Jimmy purchased it….i don’t think he is going to be afraid to spend like a top 5 club.

Goldschmidt wouldve been a great add a half a decade ago but im afraid now he’d only be Abreu 2.0. His numbers fell off pretty hard last year after his ‘22 MVP campaign and they’ve really nose dived this year. Alonso’s probably got more upside but I’ve personally never been a big fan. So yah give the young guys some reps and regroup for next year.

100 % agree.

Could have been worse….we could have signed
Kris Bryant. :smirk:
He’s only 32 but has fallen off a cliff and is under contract through 28’.

Blanco locking down that AL All Star spot.

Up 4-0. T5.
Blanco and Diaz start scrapping over the pitching calls.
Gets bad & goes from 0-2 to a walk to loaded the bases. They get out of it.

Why wait till they are loaded to send out the pitching coach ?
They were at it all inning.

Rockies not paying him 2 go away anytime soon.

Some mention of Josh Bell. I like it just short term. A huge dude and in his 30s.

Astros staff is always a bit to slow for my liking in regards to mound visits.

I usually go out early as soon as I see something physical or mental going on….i try and squash it before it festers….having said that, I’m dealing with 17-18 year olds rather than grown men professionals.

Blanco pitched 7 innings of no hit ball before being taken out of the game.

Why would they take him out?

Pressly gives up a hit, so no-no no more.

Almost 100 pitches - no reason to blow out the only consistent pitcher on the staff when he’s still 3 innings away from finishing. Pulling him was the right move.
