Great to hear. I will still be showing up to games as well. As fans we can do our part. I didnāt go to a single game last year because I didnāt support Dana and wanted to make it clear we needed a change.

Amount of excuses being thrown around in these coog based podcasts are amazing. Excuses-First year head coach, didnāt expect much, blah blah.
One podcaster said that we are now in the big12 , so there shouldnāt be any urgency in winning. These guys have agendas. My guess is they need to retain access, will brown nose as needed.
Fritz and his assistants had six months to put a good product on the field. They failed,
QB1 still throws picks.
Sooner or later , itās Ale, thatās going to be the starting QB.

Have you seen the roster? We arenāt winning this year. All rebuilds take time. The program is in a bad place after Dana and Pezman. Very rarely does something work out extremely quickly like the texans last year or Iowa State basketball in 2022.
Think of how long it took Sampson to get the ball rolling in basketball. A couple years ago we were still having to earn our respect in basketball from the media.
This was always gonna be a trust the process kind of year.

If we got the Willie Fritz who coached at Sam Houston and Georgia Southern, we should be fine. I always give a coach one season before getting too critical.

Not really. Belk had a lockdown game last year.
Not being facetious but another level from last night would just be a better degree of awful.
But it will take time to turn this around. Unfortunately that means different personnel. We were beat at the line on both sides of the ball. We wonāt compete in the big twelve with line play that weak. If weāre having recruiting issues then I suggest throwing what limited NIL money we have at linemen, and start on offense.

Fritz is not the answers I knew it. It took 3 years to win the AAC. Is going to take 5 years here good luck playing to a empty stadium.

This right here. It aināt the Xās and Xās , itās the Jimmys and Joesā¦and we aināt got 'em. The Dud didnāt do jack for recruiting except pass by a HS field on way to cash his checks. Thereās a reason the top talent took the portal to Adiosvilleā¦they knew this was coming. Last night was brutal, no way around itā¦butā¦at least I seen coaches still engaged instead of standing there with arms crossed, headset around neck, checked out waiting for the clock to hit 0:00 Itās going to take awhile to get through this tunnel, no magic fairy dust is going to fix the effects of 2 consecutive bad HC hires. You build off a solid foundation and I honestly think Willie has started that process. No matter when his time here is up, heāll leave the program in much better shape than what he started with.

Whatās wrong with the roster? People keep mentioning it and saying stuff like āthe cupboard is bareā. Iām genuinely curious to know whatās the issue.
To my knowledge, it is loaded with coveted transfers that were handpicked by this staff, at least one 4 star at every position group, and a senior QB with more starts than TD passes.
Holistically there is nothing wrong with this roster. There is something wrong with our coaches.

I believe in coach Fritz, I just donāt think heās elite enough of a coach to turn things around in 3 years. We donāt have 3 years. Weāll fall behind. We need to seize the moment. Baylor is down, Tech is mid, and TCU might be regressing.
We need to hire someone who can win now so we can leap them and capture momentum. After this year Baylor will fire Aranda, letās pray they donāt get Jamie. Heās still there
And I donāt see how anyone who watched that secondary literally running into each other could say that was the ābest defenseā in any measure. And the series where they burned us deep on consecutive plays that got called backā¦smh. The tackling was generally bad, and it wasnāt like our guys were out there laying the wood.
We werenāt ready to play. Guys are still figuring out what to do, and coaches are still trying to figure out who can play. The level of play was more like a spring game.

I still believe in Fritz but Iām doubting the ceiling of the program in this NIL and transfer portal era. You need strong resources, a strong fan base and administration thatās in lockstep. Will the fan base support this rebuild and show up to support the team?? Hopefully the recruits who are committed overlook that and believe in Fritz.
How can we evaluate any QB with how terrible the OL was yesterday? I canāt believe a P4 OL can be that bad along with the TE/RB blocking as well. Itās going to be tough season so we have to look for progress week by week.
If we had a strong NIL program we could complain about a turnaround but we donāt so we have to rebuild through HS recruiting.

I watched SR, RSSR, and Super senior OL getting totally abused yesterday. Why does it take NIL $$$ for someone to simply do their job? And did it take NIL $$$ for the UNLV DL to do their job?

They definitely need to do a better job individually but this isnāt a talented group of OL unfortunately. It should be better than yesterday but Iām not sure how good they can be. NIL is in regards to the rest of the team. I donāt think OL can be built through NIL.
