I believe in Coach Fritz

Herman continues to be the gold, no make that tin, standard, for UH football.

So you are going to pin the pick that Smith gave the Rebels on the defense? Brilliant.

That’s a bogus question. If CWF had the 2015 & 2016 team he would have won also. But the fact is Herman inherited almost all of the starters of that team from Levine. CWF inherited a depleted team and filled in with what leftover portal guys he could get. His recruits were good, but freshmen in need of development. So, of course the answer had to be “Yes”. Do you have anymore strawmen you want to throw out there?

On the other hand, Herman did lose to a horrible UConn team with the team that beat FSU in the Peach Bowl.

Bogus? Strawman?
It is just a question requesting your opinion. There is no data for an analysis.

Yes just a question requesting our opinions. Just like those political poll questions sent by political parties that are always worded to answer they way they want you to. Questions like, "Do you favor free speech? Yes or no. Do you think we should open our borders to anyone wanting to come in, including terrorists, regardless of where they come from? Yes or No.

It’s nothing like that.

UH is ranked 97 and UNLV is 50. Look at who UNLV is ranked ahead of. The below is copied from the Athletic:

Rank Team Record Prev
51 UNLV 1-0 55
52 Arkansas 1-0 52
53 Arizona State 1-0 89
54 South Carolina 1-0 45
55 Cal 1-0 50
56 Maryland 1-0 53
57 Texas Tech 1-0 49
58 Duke 1-0 54
59 South Florida 1-0 56
60 Syracuse 1-0 58
61 Mississippi State 1-0 59
62 Texas State 1-0 57
63 Minnesota 0-1 61
64 Coastal Carolina 1-0 99
65 UTSA 1-0 63

72 Oregon State 1-0 71
73 Washington State 1-0 72
74 Michigan State 1-0 70
75 UCLA 1-0 68

UNLV just misses out on the top 50 after a dominant 27-7 win at Houston that was nearly a shutout. If you thought last year’s UNLV season was a fluke, the Rebels opened with a statement win, though concerns about the passing game persist after Week 1.

This is total snobbery on my part but I am shaking my head that UTSA is 32 spots above UH. That should never happen.

Level of competition hurt UNLV.

As I recall, we had a guy named Bill Yeoman who set the bar at UH.

I have a question do we score 30 offensive points in a game this season. I say if we don’t against Rice then we won’t at all.

I believe in Coach Fritz too. The bonus is perhaps our biggest donor openly said on video that is ready to redirect his pocket book to NIL.

Good coaches and good players seems to be a start for good success. If you can’t beat ‘em, buy ‘em!

Can you pinpoint when and where Fertitta said that he would do this?

At Eddie Nunoz’ introduction.

UTSA is rated above several teams in the B12 and B1G team; they are a good team (I didn’t look at the teams below #100). So I would say, yes, that is snobbery on your part.

Pretty sure he said we need to focus on NIL and not on building. I don’t recall any commitments. He was only making an astute (and obvious) observation.

Did he actually say “ I will now invest in paying the players” or are you talking about the general statement of “ we need to stop building things and instead start paying the players?” I didn’t watch he press conference, so I’m curious.
