The SEC is loaded with talent this season. So much that the Georgia-Tennessee loser could make The CFP Final Four while missing The SEC Title game.
And look at Ole Miss, LSU, and Miss. St. Lots of players.
Nick no longer has 15 NFL draft picks on his roster.

These people trying to compare Dana to Saban is really sad and off point.
I would be fine with my university’s team being last in penalties if it had an .876 winning percentage with SIX National Titles and at no worst being ranked in the top 5-10th in the country.
Is there anyone here that would take what we currently have over those accomplishments?

Also people totally missed the point of the thread. It was not to compare saban to Dana. Just pointing out all the people who said penalties fall at the feet of the coach and its on him to correct them. Yet obviously No one would ever say Saban runs an undisciplined program. Obviously the HC is ultimately responsible for everything that happens in his program, but to say point that out as the reason Dana isnt doing a good job is silly because its happening at the greatest program in the country. Plenty of criticism for Dana, but the penalties are not one.

Do you really think if UH football had the kind of success Alabama has had over the last decade and a half that we would have attendance issues after one loss? Common man, that’s weak.
But you are missing the point……it absolutely is Dana’s fault——ultimately.
Just like it’s Saban’s fault at the exact same level….
If we are being totally honest it is on the position coaches……I don’t care what program it is….
So if your O-line is constantly having false starts and holds it’s the o line coach….ultimately it’s the head guy only because he hired whoever that coach is….on a coaching staff sh/t runs down hill……head coach will get pissed at the OC then OC gets pissed at Oline coach.
Same thing on Defense….if your db’s are constantly getting called for PI because their technique sucks the DC gets crapped on and passes to the secondary coach.
So yeah, it ultimately is the head coaches program….I guarantee Saban absolutely lit up his coaches….it does make him look bad.

Saban’s team is undisciplined this season. He also has 7 national championships. And lost by a FG on the road to the number 3 team in the country.
Dana’s team is also undisciplined. However, he has losses to Tech, Kansas at home, and Tulane at home (with a 3rd string QB).

If you had and paid any attention at all you would how it works……even on the HS level……
It’s not “mental gymnastics “ it’s common sense……it’s like I said….position coach is directly responsible for his group……but if the team loses games because of penalties over and over and it does not get corrected who gets fired?
The AD is going to tell the head coach, thank you but your gone….
It’s not hard to comprehend……if you can’t see that it’s just plain ignorance regarding how it works….

If you had you would see that I said it’s the same no matter who the coach is at whatever school……I would think 99.9% of coaches would tell you it was on themselves and their responsibilities……but because we have the .1% here you think he’s getting picked on……
You guys need to get out of your feelings and realize this is football….it’s a hard game……hard to play, hard to coach….not easy and there is a lot of pressure put on you whether your coaching HS or College ball.

Yeah I only played D1 college football and come from a family where both my brothers played D1 college football, my brother in law played D1 college football, and my dad played in the NFL. But you’re right I don’t know anything about footballl🤷🏻♂️. Im not saying its not on Dana to get it corrected. I specifically said obviously the ahC is ultimately responsible for it. But its not occurring due to a lack of coaching or because Dana runs an undisciplined program, which are things that have been claimed on this board.
