I’ve wondered why the team was so disengaged. Do you think the fact that they knew they were playing for a lame duck coach had anything to do with it? I know CMA hadn’t been fired yet, but the prevailing rumor was that he would be and that CDH would be replacing him. You take that, jacketgate, and the generally banged up condition of the team, and you had a recipe for disaster.
Had Applewhite actually returned, I don’t think things would have been any better. I guess we will never know. What I do know is that is history and it serves no purpose but to provide certain posters with an axe they cherish grinding. I don’t think anything positive results in this constant dragging up of the CMA – CDH records comparison. They were different teams with different skills, experience levels, and injury status. It’s done, CDH is our coach; get over it and let’s move on.
