I’ve known Steve for over twenty-five years, he was an ardent fan and always a good source for recruiting news and general Cougar sports insights. This is a big loss, RIP.

I first met Steve on the effort to sellout the Dome versus Cal. Great guy. Sorry to hear the news.

Terrible news.

Huge Cougar fan.

Genuinely nice guy.

And I understand a dedicated teacher.

This is a tremendous loss.

Wow. He was so active here. He would talk about rumors and things UH football. May he rest in peace, Sir Hancock

He was a poster on the original “Cougar’s Den” in the 1990’s.

He is missed. Always had great comments about our Cougars.

One of the first Cougars I got to know when I started on the message board in 2000.
Sad news!

Man, Delmar and SamHouston in the same year hits hard. Stephen was a great, great Coog and one of the best posters on Cougar message boards.

I absolutely agree, Rev. He was a very passionate UH supporter, dedicated and erudite teacher, and good guy. I had many chats with him over the years since the late 90s and the original Coogfans. I had a chat with him last March about Delmar and Heights, of which he informed me he had just found out Heights passed in 2023, who was another big poster on this board from the beginning. This is a huge loss. My sincere condolences to his family.

My thoughts, precisely, Revcoog.

Wow. SamHouston and Delmar were in many ways polar opposites, but were both all-time great Coog fans.

It was my honor to get to know both of them. I had many, many off-board conversations with Sam and Delmar over the years, going all the way back to the original Den and Coogfans sites of the mid-90’s.

Sam was a great and dedicated teacher, humanitarian and quite possibly the most passionate fan of UH sports that I’ve ever known. He was also quite the humble scholar and one of the more well-read people I’ve known.

Rest in peace, my friend. R.I.P.

It’s great seeing you, Ultra. Hear, hear!

The powers that be should consider retiring the names of long time posters who had a significant impact on this board’s development and sustainment over the years.
