I do believe someone (CKS or JS) made a decision to change the focus (at least partially) on JS’s role on this team. He did not take a lot of shots during his career here until midway thru this season

NIL makes it possible to stay… Guarantee you $head is making some dough right now.
At some point, it’s about succeeding at the highest level, not NIL. Jamal is a very smart person and his coach will guide him to the best decision for Jamal. If UH makes a deep run in the NCAAs, I think Jamal will go to the NBA, regardless of the NIL offered. This is what players dream about their entire life.

If UH wins the Big 12 and Shead is Big 12 player of the year there is no reason for Shead to stay in college basketball. He would have nothing to gain. Time for Shead to chase the professional dream. Just enjoy watching players like Shead and Roberts who are decent recruits and improve each year and become standout 4 year college players. There won’t be many 4 year players to watch improve and stay 4 years.
Agreed… Just saying it’s a gamechanger with respect to automatically leaving .

I think alot of Shead’s NC stats had to do with getting the team in sync on our blowout wins. He was making sure the players were learning. Once it came to conference games he will do whatever the team needs to win. He is basically Sampson on the court.
