It is like Christmas. You are opening the Ced Lath present. You will be thanking your parents or your Aunt because this was the best Christmas present ever.
I wish JO T a quick and complete recovery.
Walker out for year Sampson all but said that today
I think many of us question our depth at this point. We are looking like a M * A * S * H unit.
The only people questioning our depth right now are people who can count and have eyes.
Sampson said no surgery Tuesday or Wednesday so him and Kellen can be there for him before and after his surgery. I am paraphrasing as it is on Facebook.
I like Lath down low on D but heās been a bit lost on offense. It takes time, I guess.
Iāll be happy if he looks good on D and gets rebounds. I expect nothing on offense and some mistakes.
I donāt think weāll really have much trouble replacing Tuglerās offense. We will miss his shot-blocking and overall disruptiveness on defense. Lath just needs to focus on getting every rebound and staying in position on defense. Stick with dunks and layups on offense and donāt turn the ball over, and weāre fine.
Yep what you want from Lath at this point is, ādonāt be a huge liability.ā Everything else is gravy.
The Blueprint will now be get foul proned Francis in foul troubleā¦itās not going to be āall gravyā unfortunately
What we are going to miss is the intangibles he brought to the game. The unexpected slam dunk put back off the offensive rebound to ignite the team
Lath may do that as well. I love his game but he averaged about 10 minutes over the last month and 3 points/3 boards. He also made some silly freshman mistakes that I expect lath to do as well.
For as long as I can remember, UH low post players need a couple of years of experience before they become truly effective.
Lath is no different. If he makes mistakes, he makes mistakes. Just because fans are antsy about the season doesnāt alter the fact that the inexperience of a player requires time before they get it figured out.
We also need to remember that Lath is not alone when heās on the court. He has four other players who have his back.
Besides, he may surprise us.
Yes most Bigs but Tugler or J Walker were the exception
Will ask what no one dares to ask. Why was he playing at Baylor with a broken foot. He was limping badly.
Iām sure they didnāt x-ray him during the game, and he told the coaches heād try to go. Implying some kind of malpractice here is weaksauce.
Heās just asking a question for crying out loud. To take it that heās implying āmalpracticeā is as you say, āweaksauceā.
Call the manager, I guess.
Cedric Lath is 6ā9" and 255 lbs. You canāt coach size. I see a big strong kid seizing his opportunity. I believe Lath will surprise us (in a good way). I donāt care if he makes mistakes. Good. Heās learning and getting better. Effort, hustling, heart, a will to win, and a willingness to be coached up in big game situations covers up a lot of mistakes. He will have four other Coogs on the court with him, 12+ Coogs on the bench supporting him, a bunch of coaches that care about him, and thousands of Coog fans cheering him on. Whatās not to like about this opportunity? Letās roll. Go Coogs.
