CAB just posted a picture of JoJo and his measurables:
6’6” with a 7’6” wingspan.
Insane measureables but will not play C for us. Maybe PF but most likely will need to be a SF with that height. Even at 6’6” he would be an undersized PF in the BIG 12. Was hoping he’d come in at 6’7”+. Still high on him, but he’s undersized for the PF position. The long arms could make up for it.
He can play PF and some small ball C since his wingspan is ridiculous. The main thing is strength and wingspan to compete in the paint for the most part.
Does not need to be a SF lol, he will be 6’7 with shoes and he has a 7’6 wingspans. He is the same height as Roberts with longer arms and Roberts is playing C for us
They are unicorns. There are only 3-4 guys that can legit do that. Draymond/PJ Tucker guys are rare. I’m just saying I wish he would have come in taller. Dude is still a baller with insane length.
shorter than i thought. longer wingspan than even javier…
his freshmen year might be akward becuase his development doesn’t really have him as a true 4 yet… could be an absolute monster in his later seasons as he develops into a true 4
Chuck Hayes played center and power forward in the NBA at 6’6" with a 6’10" wingspan. I think JoJo will be just fine at our noble institution with an extra foot (!!!) in wingspan.
Not rate at all in college basketball. Roberts is literally the same height at C. Vital for baylor was 6’5 and they won a ship, a 6’7 PF with 7’6 wingspan is not undersized in college basketball.
i dont get the debate of his height at the 4… he is more than perfect height for the 4, especially at the college level…
the issue isnt the 4 but the 5…he’s played almost exclusively center to this point in his career and has few wing skills that will make it hard to put him at the 4 at this stage in his development
him being shorter than listed in HS on his 215 frame makes it hard to put him at the 5 (though im sure sampson will)
Stupid question. Is there even such thing as a SF in college anymore? I’m only asking cuz I only see guards or big when talking about college basketball.
