Julks

Corey coming through.

Radio commentators mentioned he consistently hits the ball hard even on outs.

Just scored vs Pitt after singling. Batting over .300.

Small sample size and it’s early but a heck of a start.

HR coming soon.

Surprised he didn’t play at all the first 2 games at Minnesota, but Dubon and McCormick have been hot hitting as well.

Just needs the power game to start showing up….start driving the ball more….which now that he is getting comfortable and proving to himself he belongs we should start to see that.

McCormick’s was better imo. But nevertheless the Defense behind Urquidy is outstanding today.

I like how Blummer and Kalas did a Coogs House chant after Julk’s homer.

I think this day of rest is what the Stros need before the home-stand against the Dallas Baseball Alliance. Would love to see Julks go off in front of Fam against the Rangers.

Nice. What about the wristbands

Edit: or used toothpick.
My favorite Astros players as young kid late 60s, early 70s was Jimmy Wynn… he played w a toothpick in his mouth.

Speaking of wristbands……I the ones Dusty has got popular in the 80’s….I remember Daryl Strawberry had some….I thought they were the coolest thing.

Never had any myself but when my son hit about 11 or 12 I had some made for him….I can’t remember the exact place anymore but I remember they were like $70 a pair. When he hit HS age I got him another pair….then for college( you probably would not remember even if you saw it but they showed them on ESPN one year when his team was in the NCAA tournament and then did one of those 10 second interviews they show when a player is up to bat, like in between pitches….His last pair I got him when he got chosen to play in the Northwoods league.

Anyway it was kind of a special thing for us.

Dusty def likes to wear stuff from his throwback playing days. The toothpick in mouth was popular in 60s & 70s

My daughter called me at work one day to say, “Old Dusty is doing a press conference and he’s wearing a sports jacket…and wristbands!”

Check out the footwork and smooth throwing motion of the Rangers rookie 3rd Basemen.
