Khator and Tilman

Student housing on campus is at capacity so there is nowhere to put all those freshmen unless you kick out some upperclassmen.

No, we are getting more money than Tumbleweed ranglers we get $48M the first year they get $44M. That gap will be maintained or widen as we continue to grow.

The victim always empowers the insult. If you laugh at people that insult you the insult becomes meaningless.

When we do hire a new coach I want to see no more then a 3 year contract, with literally no buyout if we fire him in the last 2 years, but a $20 million buyout if he gets hired away by another school. I also would love to see it be incentive based maybe $1 million base then $250k per win with a $500k bonus when we win the naty.

“start by requiring freshman to live on campus.”

That is a 2-edge sword. The requirement would have a negative affect on enrollment.

It’s just an effort by opponents to ridicule. There is nothing wrong with being a commuter school. There are some very good schools that fit.

UH has achieved tremendously in academics and research. Gaining AAU status will help. That’s 10 to 15 years away. The increase in endowment will boost UH’s AAU metrics. UH is closer to AAU metrics than any other Texas University, It is much closer than TT with 15 members in the National Academies compared to TT’s 5.

Only two are AAU though, and only one (USF) is a non-flagship commuter.

Most AAU schools have some sort of a housing mandate.

Being a commuter school is generally a VERY tough way to become AAU.

I thought Renu’s move in that housing mandate direction was good.

Stupid Whitmire, using arguments based on stupid Hispanic and gay stereotypes, ruined that.

Housing mandates may work in a college town but it will not work as good at UH.

We lost thousands of season ticket holders each succeeding year after twitchy face left. Climaxing in the aftermath of the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

It seems like only yesterday that Madam Khator joined us . To me she is the biggest “BOOM” ever !

If we don’t make AAU status in academics, make the playoffs in football, or win a national championship in basketball by 2027.
Then our 100 year centennial celebration is meaningless.

I’ve asked you this before and I’ll ask again
 why are you here?

Maybe we should cancel this thread and start a new one. Lol

You can’t really believe this. The amount of young minds that have become adults on campus, the professionals put out into the world, the impact of the University are whats being celebrated. Not a sports banner

Why? He had some very valid points at the time. Someone needed to go, some changes had to be made; someone did go, and changes were made.

Exactly lol

Since we had a revolving door at AD the past 15 years, only Khator and Tilman were the ones involved in hiring the coaches.

Someone has to be held responsible for the bad hires of Levine, Applewhite, and Holgorsen.

I’m not going to throw away all the accomplishments of the university by Fertitta and Khator just because a so called fan thinks all of it was a failure because UH did not get AAU like the other thousands of university did not get.

Remember, AAU is a country club of 65 schools where you have to be voted on to get in.

A F*ING COUNTRY CLUB.

Just because a school is not rich and a big brand does not mean it’s not a really good school. Some non-AAU schools have better credentials than some AAU schools.

It wasn’t a failure at all. He called for a change (the premise of the thread) in the way things were going, and we all got the necessary change from the necessary people who could make those changes.

We were headed to another abyss. All the steam from being accepted into the Big XII was being sucked out of the room. Someone here last month called it “7 mini death sentences” that UH alums and fans had faced, and we were headed for another one. Those fans you’re talking about are season ticket holders like myself and a few other hearty souls, and if you didn’t want to keep bleeding other season ticket holders, something had to be done. Are you a season ticket holder by chance?

Who insinuated that you’re not a good human being?
