Khator and Tilman

Clown take. Do you think a good coach comes before the Rockets were able to clear the cap to add vets?

If Udoka didn’t go through the affair scandal, I doubt he would be here.
Not only that, the John Wall situation didn’t even pan out.

We can start by having our alumni send their kids to UH instead of other schools.

Boston loss is Houston gain, TF was smart enough to hire him.Now if only he can do the same here.

Answer: become more residential, destinational, and traditional instead of non-traditional, non-destinational, and commuter.

Renu was trying to take steps in that direction.

Unfortunately, that dolt Whitmire got in the way.

I don’t want to celebrate the 100 year anniversary with a crappy football or basketball team.
Which is why we need to put pressure on Tilman, Khator, Pezman to get this fixed.

At some point, someone in the administration needs to take accountability.

This is strike 3 already since 2010 on bad coaching hires.

Strike 1: Levine
Strike 2: Applewhite
Strike 3: CDH

#1 Dr. Khator saved UH. I know the football hasn’t been great, but she can stay as long as she wants.
#2 Tilman made a mistake hiring his friend, he has also financed a ton of big-time projects. So again I am not telling him to hit bricks ever.

Man
honestly, I’ve seen some dumb takes on this board but this thread takes the cake.

Love the “dolt Whitmire” quip. Its a great nugget in a sea of lunacy.

The other thing that makes me think OP is junk is that Herman mentioned in an interview a few weeks ago how much the UH president was invested in making football successful.

Herman remarked “great leadership” and UH providing all the money it could to make it happen.

Renu not supportive of athletics is bull, respectfully.

Man, Herman really wants to get back here lol

Thats probably true.

My running gang “Hotel 10” and I have been calling Houston the “Harvard of the South” since 1982.

So just stop.

Hey baby. Lol.

Maybe the Rutgers of the South?

Years ago, “status quo” got UH playing in CUSA and the rep as a commuter school (the commuter school thing got going in the 70s). Dr. Khator has UH going forward in the educational arena and I am impressed with the things she’s done. She had indicated before sports are important, so I don’t understand the hesitancy involving the football program.

I’d say start by requiring freshman to live on campus. Improve campus life. Make students want to live and be on campus rather than just go straight home after class.

That term isn’t relevant today since we have more beds on campus than all schools in Texas except A&M. Other schools fans just say that term to hurt COOG fans.

Our academic profile is a lot higher now than the 70s and we have a medical school now. Our law school and business school have programs that are nationally ranked high. We are even getting the same amount of TUF money as Tech so Tumbleweed High should know better not to call us that term.
