I know I contribute to it. I do defend myself whenever I do not get the attacks.
I might offer a different take on a post, but I never go back and forth about why someone is wrong or nitpick their post.
Like the one this offseason. I said “Kingston is amazing at everything but 3 pt shooting”, which was a complimentary post. A poster here with some coaching experience went on a long tangent, going back and forth, because he said Kingston was a great shooter.
I was perfectly fine with his perspective of Kingston being a great shooter. I did not question his knowledge or perspective, or try to say why his scout was wrong. The issue became a long debate about why it was wrong for me to say he was not a great 3 pt shooter. Even though I stated it wasn’t just a made up opinion by me. I posted multiple major scouting takes that said something similar {ESPN, 24/7 etc), and then I was attacked for “relying too much on media outlets.”
Then they interpret me saying he is amazing at everything but 3 pt shooting as me “demeaning UH players,” like we cannot have honest conversations about our players.
To say that Artest had MARGINAL offensive skills proves that you are UNQUALIFIED to speak on anything NBA-related. Had you said Rodman or Ben Wallace…ok.
But, reading your takes on Flemings, I knew the elevator didn’t go to your top floor for NBA basketball…or maybe basketball in general.
All the BS aside… if Chris is projected in the 20s at the end of the year, do you see him coming back next year and trying to get back into the top 10?
Seems like getting paid in college for a shot at a better rookie contract would be a realistic option.
But dudes like Deandre Jordan back in the day still came out after falling out of preseason top 10 and got drafted in 2nd round vs coming back.
I think a lot will depend on how well he plays in the tournament. If he balls out, it will certainly catch the eye of NBA teams, and thus increase his chances of being a high draft pick. If he’s a no-show, and his draft stock plummets, the chances of him returning go up. At this point it is too early to say where he might go in the draft. It’s a fluid situation.
