Kingston Flemings

Players can enter the draft, go through the NBA combine to get a grade and then have a window to withdraw and go back to college if NBA scouts say they need some improvement.

He reminds me of Kingston Flemings. :sunglasses:

Seriously though, Dude is a megastar already in my book. Attitude, work ethic, leadership and composure don’t appear in the box scores but they look pretty good too. Also, we’ve only played one conference game. He’s just warming up.

I dont see john wall…
De’Aaron Fox could be a good comp… but fox lived by the floater and kingston almost never does floaters… but if we are equating layup and floaters as the same thing, then its a pretty good comp

The more I think about it I stand by Russ Westbrook. The only person I can remember as competitive as King. And he is still only 19. He may grow into a dominant athlete even at the NBA level ie VJ Edgecombe.

Could see King becoming the new guard triple double King in the League.

Matter of fact he is Triple Double King moving forward in my mind ha

Yeah Moreso the way him and De’Aron move. They finish way differently.

Dare I say Derrick Rose in how twitchy he is?

100%. He’s my favorite player to ever put on the uniform :exploding_head:

Kingston reminds me of Walt Frazier.

Agree with Fox. I think De’Aaron Fox is probably the best comp in terms of body type and raw athleticism. But Kingston likes to toy with people on his hip and Fox is all gas… he has to get a step on you or he’ll do a violent step back, that’s really his only counter…that and the floater. The floater game comes from the paint goalie knowing that and getting to the spot. He doesn’t play with great pace or particularly artfully, fox kind of only has 1 speed. It all works off that. I could see him falling off quickly in his later years when he loses a half a step.

But in terms of actual play style, on the other hand… i have two comps that describe what i see differently in how Flem navigates the iso game with pace and hesi…Lou Williams and Darius Garland. A more true PG version but still a scoring guard.

Yes, Kingston he can blow by you, but he’s only gonna do that when your feet are in sand or there is a wide open path to the cup behind the defender. This is the right way to play for anybody. He really wants to feel you before he decides what he’s gonna do. And he wants to time when people have to commit help on his terms, so he can find others or get the defense scrambling. This is why maturity has always been the word that stuck in my head about him from day one.

lol Pesik.

Your takes on the last two topics you jumped into were absolutely brutal….like, next level bad to where IMO your credibility is severely damaged.

So then a poster tells you a former college/ professional head coach gives him the comp of John Wall……and the FIRST thing you say is ā€œI don’t see itā€. :joy:

And stop being such a baby.

I wonder what happens to this rule now that drafted players can still come back as long as they haven’t signed an NBA contract? How many kids are going to go all the way through the draft and decide to come back? It’s getting more and more difficult for coaches to build the next year’s roster with these changes.

The rule is only foreign players who stayed in the draft and didn’t get drafted can go back to college.

Or if you get drafted and play in the G league a couple years you are still eligible. It depends. And the NCAA doesn’t seem to want to put out an explainer.

Only if Red Panda isn’t available…
