Kingston Flemings

Especially when Uzan is deferring to KF. Why pass it when guy is going to pass it back or miss the shot?

I’m all for getting Uzan more looks, but he needs to make shots and creat opportunities as well.

The idea is to make the best play available. This team has faith in Milos. When you have the special talents of KF and the other team isn’t forcing the ball out of his hands then the best play is often for him to get downhill. They collapse he will pass and if not he will pull up or finish at the rim.

Why do we want Uzan taking more shots? He’s shooting 31.5% from behind the arc and his TS% is a horrific 48.1%. Hunting shots for a highly inefficient shooter doesn’t sound like a great strategy.

He needs to draw some attention otherwise it’s 5 on 4.

Not to mention his stats are literally the same as last season and most of his career EXCEPT for his 3% being down… this is who he is… not sure why everyone is piling on him lately OTHER than rebounding…

Me too. He reminds me so much of Otis Birdsong. Silk smooth and picture of Grace floating down the lane.
I give Kingston a slight nudge in outside shooting and passing with Bird a slightly better rebounder.
Flemings barring injuries should be a higher first round pick which is something since he will only be here one year.
Comparing him to Birdsong is the greatest compliment I can give here.
It may be awhile before see a point guard in his class

I would like to see Uzan bring the ball up and run the offense. Asking Flemings to run the point and be a shooter at the same time could wear him down. I want the defense to have to make decisions on who they want to try to guard. Flemings out in the open is flat out nasty.

So. You want our offense to be worse?

Please post the quote where I said that.

Yep you are right based on that extensive research.

You just said you want to take the ball out of our best player’s hands to give it to Uzan to run the offense.

That IS exactly what I said!!
Uzan bringing the ball up will allow us to set screens and swing the ball to Flemings when he’s already moving (he will already have a head start on the guy trying to guard him- good luck with defending that!).
Plus, Sharp is out there too.
Uzan is experienced and smart enough to kick the ball to the open guy, drive, or shoot himself.
Flemings is a ‘slasher’, and he can hit shots when he’s NOT moving.
Flemings is the kind of offensive treat like Rob Gray was, but better and bigger than Gray.
Uzan is the guy we need out there to keep the offense moving.

Could not disagree more.

Has CKS ever had a player get 42 points?

Flemings got 42 and UH LOST.

I’m sure that CKS cares MUCH more about winning than how much any one player scores.

Not because of that offensive performance…

That’s like saying a loss is your pitcher’s fault after throwing a 1 hitter and losing 1-0.

Flemings is not a “slasher”.
