Yep, agreed.

KU and Missouri are both AAU members and geographically contiguous to the BIG Ten footprint and it wouldn’t surprise me if both end up in the conference. Missouri in the SEC never made much sense to me except it was an open door out of the Big 12.

McMurphy is an Ok State alum looool so I’m not surprised hes making light of that.

But people need to realize if it isn’t from McMurphy or someone on his level like Thamel, Dodd, Berman or Duarte then it’s not official.

If Kansas leaves, it over with. They will not owe anything as well as UT and OK will not owe any money. The conference is dissolved at that point.

I don’t believe anything unless Berman (1) or Duarte (2) reports it.

So, if you’re the B10 do you wait until the buyout issue is settled then? Why on earth do you want to help OU/UT like that? They can get KU any time, any day of the week, & twice on Sundays. Seriously they could offer them, retract it and offer them again in the same day and KU would like “Yes. Oh, darn. Yes!”

Very good point.

No, the conference doesn’t dissolve with less than eight members as long as they successfully replace the departing members.

Remember the BE/AAC rebuilt with three programs (UConn, Cincinnati, and USF).

When does an institution make an announcement about a conference change? Isn’t the conference supposed to do that first?

I mean it is the conference’s decision.

It seems that Kansas to the Big 10 and West Virginia to the ACC are logical moves that would be great for both schools. Beyond that, who knows? It’s a fine mess, allright.

You people need to quit mentioning ACC schools… They are an ESPN conference who have a GOR that doesnt expire for 14 years… ACC arent going ANYWHERE…

The AAC, ACC and SEC are fully in control of ESPN.

Fox, CBS and ESPN controls the big 10 until 2023

Fox and ESPN control the Pac 12 until 2024

ESPN might try to fully control the Pac 12 and Big 10

The full story is a little more complex than that. Those three were the only ones that survived the full transition, but the Big East had plans to bring in more schools well before the other schools bolted. Temple was a football-only member of the Big East in its final season, and most of the C-USA schools (everyone but ECU, Tulane, and Tulsa) signed on to a conference that still had Notre Dame, Louisville, Rutgers, and the C7 in it. It’s not like they got raided down to 3 schools and only then decided to slap something together to save the conference.

The Kansas move makes sense.

Down to 7 remaining!

This isn’t consistent with the way the Big Ten handles their PR affairs.

Why does the B1G make the move to add Kansas now when it hasn’t in years past? Because KU was part of the Big 12 and would’ve needed to pay to get out of its GOR? Boy, that sure concerned UT and OU. Does the B1G feel like this would be a smart move to upend the mighty Big 12?

WVU to the ACC is ridiculous. They’ve been turned down numerous times and have universities in close proximity – Louisville, VA Tech, Pitt… Their #240 US News ranking isn’t very impressive.

More smoke coming outa where the sun don’t shine …

This Davis character claims he heard it from some reliable people … OR … in other words … a bunch of heresay …

Kansas … the worse P5 football team in decades … “ain’t” going anywhere … especially not the B1G … why would they want to load themselves with useless baggage/deadweight … they have enough dead weights … Indiana Purdue Illinois Rutgers Maryland MichSt
