Latest Bowl Projections

Texas is getting the Citrus Bowl which goes to the top SEC team that does not go to the the playoffs, unless something crazy happens, the other possible team is Vandy and their bowl last year only drew 34k, and the Citrus gets to pick. Texas has had too good of a season to settle for the Texas Bowl, so have we, we are 9-3 for only the second time since 2016, if we were 7-5 or even 8-4 I would be happy with the Texas Bowl.

The Alamo Bowl is by far the second best option based upon travel for us and if they don’t select BYU or us and instead select TCU, Cinn, KSU or somebody else we are only going to get the Texas Bowl or one of the crap ESPN bowl, ever.

LSU is barely 7-5 a win against them would mean nothing and a lose would be devastating, they also played in the Texas Bowl last year. Missouri and Tennessee are on the edge of the top 25 so they would be better match ups.

Don’t believe the hype but it seems someone does about Bevo on this board  they will kill us, please.

Sorry. I’m not a UT fan but I was in Austin last Friday at the UT/A&M game. I’m a huge Cougar fan, but Texas would embarrass us in a very humiliating way. No thanks!

A&M was and is a paper tiger. They borrowed UT’s tried-and-true “play absolutely nobody in conference and then lose to the first real competition you face” strategy from last year. I think we’d have a puncher’s chance against UT.

Not sure that’s so.

We had a sucky team the last team we played them and almost won.

We have a way better team this time around so why wouldn’t we be as competitive or more so this time?

I don’t see UT being that much better this time around.

Spent Thanksgiving in Austin and the electricity and buzz was beyond amazing. The drone show after the game was world class.

The matchup would be fun for the players and a marker where UH is as program.

UT has more overall talent but that’s why the games are played.

What did people write, say before we last played against uta and its roster full of five stars?
By the way, how much did uta pay for these five starsrecruits?
What did happen during the game?
What was the name of that video ref of all people?
What was the National narrative (not Coogfans) after the game?
Oh yheaaaaa what school did this video ref go to?
Anybody involved in sports coaching knows that there is no way to predict a final outcome.
Will they be favored? Sure, so what?
Again how many favored teams get beat.
Lastly, okie, fsu, louisville were favored to CLOBBER us. What happened?
When there is a Will there is WILLIE FRITZ.

Plus the refs cheated us on that critical 1st down which we made at the end. We also lacked a true qb.

It would be a good game . We have a good defense also

I was there and watched the replay over and over and we made that first down

Consensus for the Alamo Bowl appears to have shifted to BYU vs. USC. Shame, I’d have liked to see the Coogs against the Trojans.

If the Pop-Tarts Bowl is off the table, apparently ESPN hasn’t been told about it.

Can I just say, any of these predictions exceed what we have seen over the last many years…

I think the Texas Bowl would be fun for our fans. I think we would have a really good turnout.

Yeah, the worst of them would probably be the biggest non-NY6 bowl game we’ve played since at least the 2007 Texas Bowl.
