First round CFP game at TDECU is my first choice!
Agree about the River Walk. The Alamodome reminds me of a blimp hanger that was never torn down after WW2 and converted to a stadium. 'bout as nice as I can be about the Alamodump.
I was good in Shreveport… wore long underwear, jeans, hoodie, parka, snow gloves, ski mask, beanie and brought hot hands…
Hopefully we will have 2 Big 12 teams in the Alamo Bowl this year as well.
The Big 12, Big Ten and ACC agreed that the teams would be a Big 12 team vs Pac-12 Legacy school.
I lived in San Antonio when the Alamodome was being constructed. They knew about no parkinig plus they cheaped out the insides.
I was at the Fort Worth Bowl and I left early because I was miserable and we were what I thought was dead early in the 4th quarter. I was stunned when I got to a restaurant and saw the go ahead score. I was glad my schedule didn’t allow me to be tempted to go to Shreveport for the Independence Bowl.
I still am glad I made the Pittsburgh comeback in the Armed Forces Bowl. It was miserable but memorable.
I’d go for UT in Texas bowl, USC in Alamo Bowl, LSU in Liberty, or anyone in Independence Bowl.
So maybe Houston versus Washington or USC? I’m OK with that…
I doubt that would happen they will cry and whine and pull strings to have someone else face them like when they were in the Big 12 and the Bowl wanted them to face A$M
I would’ve been at Pitt but the Sunday before that game my mom’s fiancè passed and I had to go to Oregon to help her… I think y’all heard me yelling from the southern Oregon coast, though!
Playing UT? They will never play us. When pigs fly.
The Armed Forces Bowl against Pitt was one of the coldest I have ever been, and I grew up in Montana.
There is a projection of a return to Ft. Worth to play Army this year.
I spent halftime in the restrooms warming up.
I didn’t think there was a way to warm up during that one. I actually warmed up about 7 hours later laying in a bathtub full of HOT water. LOL
Oh JOY!
I do not think the B12 has a tie in with the Armed Forces Bowl. I would hope the bowl that UH qualifies for would be a higher profile, higher paying bowl.
We left the game because my wife was shaking so bad after two cups of coffee and spending most of the time in the restroom trying to stay warm. The the light rain is what ruined it for us once we got on the road we stopped at a gas station and changed into dry clothes. I was so pissed off that I didn’t even turn on the football game on the car. We notified our daughter that we were on our way back and she text back a congratulations note that the cougars had won. That’s how we found out the Cougars had won.
Pitt not even our coldest bowl game…That would be the 79 Notre Dame Cotton bowl. Blizzard hit big D the night before. Temp was in low teens with a wind chill factor, it was 16 below zero. Coldest i’ve ever been or ever want to be…Wouldnt surprise me to find out those were the 2 coldest bowl games ever…
